Geordie and Michelle dive into two extraordinary alien abduction stories — or are they? When Marissa Littrell was searching for a college roommate who could provide a bit of support with her blindness, a girl named Raechel was recommended by a U.S. Air Force officer called Harry. At first, it all seemed perfectly ordinary… until it emerged that Harry was a UFO crash investigator and Raechel was his alien-human hybrid foster child. Is Raechel really an alien? What strange “gift” did she give Marissa? And how much of this story holds up under scrutiny? You decide! The pair then turn to the surreal case of Elizabeth Klarer, who claimed she fell in love with a hunky alien named Akon from the planet Meton — and even gave birth to his child, a boy named Ayling. A cosmic romance or an elaborate fantasy? Is Meton a real place somewhere in the universe, or a utopian invention? From mysterious encounters to out-of-this-world love stories, there’s a lot to ponder and even more to unpack. Geordie and Michelle deep dive a confusing Australian true-crime case: Gilham family murders. In 1993 in Woronora, Australia, Stephen and Helen Gilham were stabbed to death, their house was set on fire and their son Christopher was found dead downstairs from multiple stab wounds. Older son, Jeffrey Gilham, claimed he had been sleeping in a boatshed in the back yard before rushing to the house after hearing screams, telling police his brother Christopher confessed to killing their parents before setting their mother’s body on fire. Jeffrey admitted stabbing his brother in a rage and initially pleaded guilty to manslaughter, however, after a few plot twists, prosecutors eventually charged Jeffrey with the murder of his parents as well. But that's not the end of this true-crime story... Listen now to discover how Jeffrey was eventually released from prison and why his conviction was overturned. So grab a brown lemonade and settle in as the duo chat the Epstein case, Andrew Mount-Batten and reality TV, only on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast, Geordie & Michelle ponder whether the moon landing was a small step or a giant hoax...Do you believe the Americans really landed on the moon? Most people do, but there’s always been a vocal group of conspiracy theorists who say otherwise. In this episode, Geordie dives into the origins of one of the biggest conspiracy theories of the 20th century: the idea that Apollo 11 was a hoax, plus she explores the book that first ignited public doubt and how the story spiralled into global fascination. She also looks at Cold War tensions, government cover-ups and the mysterious case of Russia’s secret cosmonauts alongside the two Italian brothers who claimed to have intercepted secret radio transmissions that they believe prove something strange was going on behind the scenes of the space race. From missing astronauts to doctored footage and the politics of paranoia, this episode looks at how one small step for man became one giant leap for conspiracy. So grab a brown lemonade and settle in as the duo chat the IP hacks, telly recs and MAFS Australia, only on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast, Geordie & Michelle look at a smooth-talkin' serial killer NOT called The Snake...Ever heard of a serial killer so smooth he made everyone think he was a nice guy who was helping them? That’s Charles Sobhraj — part conman, part celebrity criminal and known as The Serpent. Born in Saigon in 1944, he spent the 1970s drifting along Asia’s hippie trail, targeting free-spirited Western backpackers. One minute he was a friendly gem dealer or a rescuer helping with lost passports, the next, his victims were dead — poisoned, drowned or even burned. He stole their identities, travelled on their passports and lived off their money, all while committing at least a dozen murders across Thailand, Nepal and India. When he was finally caught in 1976, Charles Sobhraj turned prison into his own 'hotel', bribing guards, giving interviews and even escaping by drugging everyone at his own jailhouse party. So where is he now? Is he still in prison? And why is the world obsessed with The Serpent? This week, Michelle shallow dives into the legend and folklore behind one of rock n' roll's most normal couples - Paul & Linda McCartney...When Paul and Linda met in 1967 at the Bag O Nails pub in London, you might think that it was all plain sailing from that first date to their wedding at Marylebone registry office 2 years later... Couldn't be further from the truth. There was shagging, there were missed connections and lots of obstacles to overcome, but by the time they married in 1969, just before the Beatles broke up, the pair were inseparable. In the early 1970s, after kids, a breakdown and a time-out on their farm in Kintyre, the pair formed the band Wings, which allowed Paul to continue making music while keeping Linda - and the kids - by his side. Despite criticism of the band, the media bullying of Linda and dubious tours, time would prove that the band, like their marriage, could endure almost anything and still come out on top. Listen now to the story of how they got together - and stayed together - to become one of rock’s most enduring love stories. So grab a brown lemonade and settle in as the duo chat about Dan the bespectacled postie, what an Eavesdroppin' doll might look like, telly recs and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. This week on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast, it's a re-hash mash-up where Geordie & Michelle look at the bugbear of privacy infringement and bent coppers...What are your thoughts on the way the world has simply given up on the idea of privacy? Does it worry you? Or have you embraced it because it's just the way it is? This week, Geordie & Michelle have a chat about a couple of recent developments in the UK which have Michelle alarmed - compulsory digital IDs, anyone? When London PI Daniel Morgan was found found dead in a car park, his murder was investigated but soon went cold and unsolved. Except - that's not what really happened! Over time, Daniel's case exposed police corruption, cover-ups, deliberate actions to pervert the course of justice and more, leading to an independent report finding "institutional corruption" in the Met Police and an apology and settlement with the family in 2023. This week on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast, Geordie & Michelle discuss psychic detectives...In 1983, 25-year-old Jacqueline Poole from west London was murdered in her home. Just streets away, a woman called Christine Holohan contacted police shortly after the crime, claiming to have received psychic visions about the killer, the victim and the scene. Her detailed descriptions seemed spot on - but the police didn't act on the info. Listen now to hear the twists and turns of Jacqueline's case and how DNA evidence retrospectively supported Christine's claims...Geordie follows with a look at the other side of the psychic detective coin... Do police actually use psychics to help solve cases? What are the numbers? Geordie has the stats! Plus she digs into the work of Benjamin Bradford, a noted skeptic and debunker, who has exposed psychic claims by analysing psychic methods and showing how supposed “psychic hits” can be explained through cold reading, coincidence, or selective memory. Psychic detectives... Real or fake? You decide! So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week’s episode, plus chat about jelly shoes, Wordle, creative swearing and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast. This week on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast, Geordie & Michelle ponder aliens, clowns and UFOs...On a cloudless afternoon in southern Finland in 1970, two skiers stopped to take a break and saw strange lights in the sky. Then they saw a space craft. Then they saw aliens in cute outfits. Then… well, you’ll have to listen if you want to know what happened next to Aarno Heinonen and Esko Viljo. May include sexy spacewomen…Geordie follows with a look at The Sandown Clown. Since we touched on the story earlier this year, there has been new information about the enigmatic creature, who, in 1973, made contact with two children on the Isle of Wight. The older child, ‘Faye’, said the being looked like a strange clown, called himself All Colours Sam and ate berries through his ear. Now an adult, Faye has recently spoken out about the encounter and her interactions with the being… So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week’s episode, plus chat about wigs, Eric Bana and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast.
