In this episode, I share why language has become one of the deepest threads of my life and why I’m so passionate about helping women become aware of the words they use...especially the subtle ones that shrink us.I talk about the filler phrases and apologetic language so many of us use, “just,” “kind of,” “sort of,” “almost”, and how these words aren’t random. They are the echoes of conditioning. They are the language of the “good girl,” the appeaser, the woman taught to stay small. This episode is an invitation into awareness. Not shame. Not self-criticism. Awareness.I share my own journey from being a painfully shy child hiding behind my parents, to devouring personal development books in secret, to becoming a speech and language therapist, to now speaking confidently on podcasts and to groups. In this episode, I explore:Why words are not neutral, they carry energetic weightHow apologetic language subtly reinforces self-doubtThe difference between cognitive knowing and embodied confidenceHow awareness alone begins to shift everythingWhy decluttering your language is like decluttering your homeHow we can model empowered communication for the next generationThe link between self-worth, subconscious beliefs, and the words we chooseI also speak about sovereignty. The truth that we get to choose who we are becoming. Our personality is not fixed. Our conditioning is not destiny. When we realise the stories in our minds are often lies… everything becomes possible. This work is not about stifling ourselves or becoming hyper-controlled with language. It’s about embodied presence. It’s about speaking with clarity and conviction. It’s about letting our wisdom land without watering it down. This episode is an invitation to start noticing.Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it.And that’s where the magic begins.Join Language Alchemy: Speak Your Power into Being Here!26th February Online (Zoom) at 7.30pmIf you'd like to write a love letter to yourself to be opened at a later date then join this gorgeous and expansive Letter Writing Workshop which is now available to be accessed instantly where we do this practice together. I'm back after a couple of weeks break to explore the transformative practice of silence and stillness. In this episode, I revisit a blog post I wrote last July called "The Portal of Silence" and share insights from my current 7-day "Settling into Silence" offering with Jemma from Goddess Candles.I delve into the power of sitting in silence, unplugging from technology, and cultivating a deeper relationship with my soul self. I discuss how we sensitive souls and empaths can harness our unique power during these transformative times by turning inward, releasing emotions through the body, and trusting our inner guidance rather than external "shoulds."Key themes I explore:The practice of daily silence and what it revealsTools for processing emotions and staying centeredRedefining leadership and showing up authenticallyUnderstanding ourselves as unique, essential pieces of the human puzzleConnecting with the essence that animates our human formSelf-love, worthiness, and the expansive power of the heartThis episode is my call to honour your sensitivity, trust your unique path, and reconnect with the power that lies within the stillness. If you'd like to write a love letter to yourself to be opened at a later date then join this gorgeous and expansive Letter Writing Workshop which is now available to be accessed instantly where we do this practice together. In this episode, I invite you to break up with the “shoulds” and start living by your own inner authority. Explore what happens when you stop outsourcing your choices to societal expectations, research trends, or identity labels, and instead experiment with what actually works for your body and life.Building a relationship with your inner wisdom takes practice: listening to intuitive nudges, noticing the ego’s louder urges (and even giving it a name), and treating everything as information. This is a permission slip to play, to loosen rigid rules, and to create supportive structure with flexibility so you can feel more free, more nourished, and more you.In this episode I discuss: “Should” culture vs self-trust and self-knowingExperimenting with sleep, movement, food, and daily rhythmStructure & flow: a flexible container instead of rigid rulesTracking your cycle as guidance, without turning it into dogmaEmotional eating as a stress response (and meeting the feeling instead)Naming the “ego voice” to create space and choiceSmall experiments = big liberation over timeBecoming the author of your life, not a follower of external rulesIf you'd like to write a love letter to yourself to be opened at a later date then join this gorgeous and expansive Letter Writing Workshop which is now available to be accessed instantly where we do this practice together. If you would like to dive deeper into simplicity and decluttering check out my masterclass Wild Simplicity: The First Step, which is available now on my website and in my Instagram bio.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love:✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. You can message me on Instagram @wildsimplicity or email me at hello@annaday.ie. In this episode of the Wild Simplicity podcast, I share one of my favourite annual rituals - writing a letter to my future self. Each January, before I pack away the Christmas decorations, I write a letter to the woman I’ll be a year from now. It’s a practice that has grown from something simple and practical into a deeply loving, expansive and supportive ritual. Reading my letter this year reminded me just how powerful it is to become our own source of encouragement, reassurance and belief. In this episode, I talk about:Why writing to yourself can feel awkward and why it’s actually so healingHow to create a meaningful letter ritual for your future selfThe magic of small acts of kindness towards yourselfReframing everyday tasks as gifts to your future selfUsing timers and tiny actions to create more ease in daily lifeHow playfulness, self-compassion and intention can change how we experience our daysThis is an invitation to slow down, soften, and tend to yourself... not just for today, but for the woman you’re becoming. If you'd like to join me for a gorgeous and expansive Letter Writing Workshop on Friday where we'll do this practice together then you can sign up here If you would like to dive deeper into simplicity and decluttering check out my masterclass Wild Simplicity: The First Step, which is available now on my website and in my Instagram bio.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love:✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. You can message me on Instagram @wildsimplicity or email me at hello@annaday.ie. In this episode of the Wild Simplicity podcast, I’m joined by my friend Julie (Julie Bevan Art) for a chat....unfiltered “voice-note style” , the kind that usually happens behind the scenes between two women who are both parenting, building businesses, and doing the inner work.We talk about the invisible rules we carry (“I can’t show up with wet hair”, “I have to sound professional”, “I need to be perceived a certain way”) and how much energy leaks out through overthinking, shame, and scanning for external validation. We explore the power of bringing unconscious patterns into consciousness , not by forcing change, but by seeing what’s running the show and gently reclaiming ourselves.Julie shares what she’s uncovering about women being sidelined in art history (and how it’s lighting a fire in her!), and we move into the topic of beauty - how creating sanctuary at home, using colour, and making small seasonal changes can be an act of nourishment and self-honouring. We also talk about speaking shame out loud, talking to yourself as a taboo-but-powerful practice, and the liberation that comes from doing the “weird” things you’ve been conditioned to hide. There’s rage, laughter, creativity, nervous system truths, and a lot of permission in here. The permission to stop diluting yourself and start living from your potency. The pressure to be “professional” and the exhaustion of self-monitoringBecoming more yourself online (and in real life) without performing“Potent” as potential and what happens when we dilute ourselvesBeauty & sanctuary: colour, art, and home as a nervous system supportWomen erased from art history and why reclaiming “her story” mattersEnergy leaks: resentment, validation-seeking, and over-analysisSpeaking shame out loud (and why it dissolves so much)Talking to yourself as reclamation (and why it’s wrongly taboo)Rage as life-force: safe release practices (the “swamp” / emotional release)You can follow Julie on Instagram @julie.bevan.art and check out all of her beautiful artwork on her website https://www.juliebevanart.com/If you would like to dive deeper into simplicity and decluttering check out my masterclass Wild Simplicity: The First Step, which is available now on my website and in my Instagram bio.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love:✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAnd if you'd like to go a little deeper and really start to let go with me by your side, then take a look at my 1:1 offering - on festive offer at the moment and a lovely gift from you to you...or for someone you love :) As always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. You can message me on Instagram @wildsimplicity or email me at hello@annaday.ie. In this episode, I talk about one of my favourite quotes of all time...Carl Jung’s“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”It’s the quote that has guided me and inspired me over the last few years.I talk about how awakening, whether sudden or gradual, cracks us open. How the patterns we’ve lived inside since childhood finally surface. How unsettling, exhilarating, and wildly liberating it is to see the “water we’ve been swimming in.”I talk about how awakening can make “normal life” feel incompatible, how our sensitivity sharpens, how we sense people’s energy beneath their words, and how belonging shifts. And then… that next Jung quote:“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”I love this one too. This is really it, the path and the true liberation.I share about awakening, questioning the narrative, reclaiming the true self, dropping the masks, dissolving the inner prisons, and stepping into authenticity, a vibration even higher than love. And why this matters for the rising consciousness on the planet right now.I also discuss my current offerings:✨ The Gentle Guide to Decluttering (free)✨ Wild Simplicity: The First Step (masterclass)✨ Declutter a Drawer — 1:1 Session (festive price)This episode is a call to all of you out there who are peeling back the layers, dropping the masks. Here's to letting go, and to the magic that arrives when we stop calling our unconscious patterns “fate".
In this episode, I invite you to check-in with yourself. This one is a reminder for me, for you, for all of us navigating the mental load, expectations, and heightened energy of this time of year. I talk about the importance of pausing, reclaiming our attention from our phones, recognising resentment and overwhelm as signals, and finding micro-moments of presence throughout the day. I share how I’m practising time away from my phone, simple somatic practices, and the power of sitting down, literally, as an invitation to breathe. This is a reminder to return to ourselves before the world pulls us outward. In this episode I explore:How December hype, pressure and mental load impact the bodyMy own phone habits, sharing accountability, and why I’m putting my phone away in the hallwayThe resentment, overwhelm and cultural expectations around women carrying the invisible loadWhy we must advocate for our peaceSimple practices for slowing down:Hand on heartHavening A 10-30 second breathSitting on a park bench or a different chair as a cue to pauseHow to access stillness even in crowded, noisy environmentsUsing shakers to release energy if you’re highly sensitive or have been around lots of peopleReclaiming your December by simplifying, delegating and letting go of idealsRemembering the beauty of the season without abandoning ourselvesReturning to your inner untouched pool of stillness and the wild simplicity withinIf this episode resonated with you, I'd be so grateful if you subscribe and leave a rating/review. In this episode, I share an early-morning message that came through at 6am, a moment of clarity that asked me to look at the question: What do I truly want? I read the message word-for-word as it was typed on waking, honouring my process and the way guidance arrives for me. At the heart of it is my deepening call to help free women’s voices, support them in rising, and reclaim the wild simplicity that lives within all of us.I explore:How intuitive downloads arrive in the quiet hours and why I’m learning to trust the uniqueness of my process. The core truth that my work in the world is about wild simplicity, liberation, and women’s leadership. My desire to stand beside women as they reclaim their courage, energy, boundaries and inner knowing. Why we must stop waiting for someone to save us and realise we are the ones who open the door to our next level.A metaphor from airport travel (yes, Ryanair 😂) that mirrors the healing journey and the moment we choose to step forward. The power of women feeling and moving emotions - grief, rage, joy, pleasure - instead of being overwhelmed by them. How I’ve shifted from categorising emotions into “days” to understanding that I can hold the full spectrum within a single hour or even moment. The distraction patterns that keep women disconnected from their inner power - appearance, productivity, perfection, “being good.”Why womb-led, heart-led, grounded feminine leadership is what the world needs more than ever.My own evolution from a shy, insular child to a woman stepping into her voice and remembering her inner wildness. The role of decluttering, simplifying, and intentional living as spiritual, emotional, and energetic practices.I also share more about my masterclass Wild Simplicity: The First Step, which is available now on my website and in my Instagram bio.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love:✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. You can message me on Instagram @wildsimplicity or email me at hello@annaday.ie. In this episode, I’m exploring something that came to me during my morning pages...the job descriptions we quietly, unconsciously write for ourselves. The invisible criteria, rules, and qualifications we believe we need to meet before we’re “allowed” to live our own lives fully as who we truly are.I talk about the ways we add to these internal job descriptions over time, how we adopt other people’s expectations as our own, and how this creates a lifelong sense of needing to be “more” or “better” before we can simply be ourselves. We dive into what happens when we reconnect to the essence of who we are beneath all the conditioning. That part of us that is free, limitless, and deeply alive. And we talk about the fear that can arise when we realise how much power and freedom we actually have, and the responsibility that comes with stepping into the driver’s seat of our lives.I share the importance of noticing where we feel resentment, irritation, fear, and stuckness, because these are the breadcrumbs that lead us back to our own liberation. This episode is an invitation to rip up the job description you’ve been quietly living by… and to remember that you don’t need qualifications, permission, or proof to be yourself. You’re already here. You’re already enough. And your soul is asking to live your life as you, messily, imperfectly, honestly, and with wild simplicity.I also share more about my masterclass Wild Simplicity: The First Step, which is available now on my website and in my Instagram bio.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love:✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. You can message me on Instagram @wildsimplicity or email me at hello@annaday.ie. Ep. 44: What if...?

Ep. 44: What if...?

2025-11-0622:54

This week on the podcast I'm exploring the question 'What if?' and how we can use this to expand ourselves into the world of possibility. I'm asking the question 'what if?' not from the anxious 'what if it goes wrong', but the from the more liberating perspective 'what if everything is already okay?'What if nothing needs to be different? What if we stopped trying to fix ourselves and just allowed life to move through us?What if we could hand over our worries, our striving, and our unworthiness and remember that we are already enough? In this episode, I share reflections from my morning pages and how this question, what if, has become a doorway to freedom, curiosity, and play. I talk about our subconscious patterns, the power of neuroplasticity, and how decluttering our inner and outer worlds creates space for magic. And I also share something new...my 25-minute class, Wild Simplicity: The First Step. It’s an easy, grounding way to begin decluttering your environment and energy so that you can reconnect to what truly matters. You can find it at annaday.ie or hereSo, what if you listened? In this episode, I’m diving into one of my favourite topics - creation, co-creation, and the unseen magic that’s always at play in our lives. For years I kept this part of my world tucked away, but it’s really the heartbeat of my work. Manifestation (yes, that charged word!) is more than just about visualising things we want. It’s about feeling them in our bodies, trusting in the unseen, and living as if the magic is already here.I share how I weave these practices into my everyday life, from journaling and morning pages to conversations with my kids about timelines, the field of infinite possibilities, and creating our reality in real time. We’ll talk about the quantum field, the power of emotion, and how decluttering - both physical and energetic - creates the space for miracles to unfold. This episode is a gentle nudge to play with life, to notice synchronicities, and to let yourself be in process....messy, human, and wildly alive.✨ Come listen, feel, and remember the magic that’s been within you all along. If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections on this episode. In this episode, I explore what it means to move from the periphery into participation. From lurking and observing to expressing and sharing our voice.I talk about my own journey from being the quiet, shy child hiding behind my parents’ legs to learning how powerful it is to speak, to share, and to let myself be seen.I reflect on how our words, compliments, and simple acts of kindness ripple far beyond what we can see and how sharing them nourishes not only others but also ourselves. This is an invitation to take off the invisibility cloak, to stop waiting for the perfect moment to speak, and to remember that our self-expression is vital, regenerative, and deeply human. Whether through words, gestures, creativity, or connection....your voice matters. In this episode, I’m diving into emotional decluttering - releasing the inner clutter that builds up over time when we suppress or avoid our feelings.I share how anger became one of my greatest teachers and how the practice of swamping (a powerful emotional-release ritual shared by Regina Thomashauer, also known as Mama Gena) has become a daily non-negotiable for me.Just like clearing out a drawer creates space in your home, moving emotions through the body clears space within, for clarity, joy, and aliveness to flow back in.I talk about:The link between physical and emotional declutteringHow anger, grief, and overwhelm can become portals to powerSimple ways to move emotion...stomp, shake, dance, roar, breatheLearning to befriend your emotions instead of fearing themThe liberation that comes from feeling fully alive in your bodyThis practice has changed how I move through life. It’s grounding, freeing, and deeply human. I hope it inspires you to reconnect with your body, release what’s been held, and remember the power that’s always been within you.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections. In this episode of the Wild Simplicity podcast, I’m diving into the supportive Virgo season energy and the recent new moon eclipse as a powerful moment for decluttering, letting go, and simplifying.I share why decluttering our outer world creates shifts in our inner world, how even the smallest changes (like replacing a blunt potato peeler!) can reinforce our sense of worth, and how simple rituals can help anchor our intentions.I also offer practical tips, like starting with non-emotional spaces, using the 20/20 rule, and setting a timer, that make decluttering doable and even enjoyable. This is your reminder that letting go isn’t about deprivation, but about opening up to abundance, possibility, and a more aligned way of living. If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections. In this episode of the Wild Simplicity podcast, I dive into what it really means to be human....messy, imperfect, courageous, and willing to show up even when we don’t feel ready. I share about:letting go of perfectionism, trusting the next step to reveal itself, and learning to express ourselves without waiting for the “right” tech, tools, or clarity.shifting energy through movement, trusting in our inner knowing, and finding freedom in self-expression. how our feelings can guide us but also how we sometimes need to gently move through resistance instead of letting it stall us.This is an invitation to stop waiting, to speak your truth in your own way, and to express yourself boldly, whether in voice notes, podcasts, conversations, or simply in your own family and friendships. It’s about building trust in the unknown, being brave enough to say what you need to say, and freeing your voice in this one precious life.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections. After a summer break with my kids, I’m back on the podcast reflecting on the tender transition of back-to-school season. In this episode, I share about the mix of relief, grief, and sensitivity that arises with the passage of time and how I navigate these shifts as a highly sensitive person.I talk about the courage it takes to pause in a world that wants us to keep moving, the importance of marking transitions with ritual, and how decluttering both our homes and inner worlds creates the space to feel and reconnect with ourselves. This is an invitation to honour your sensitivity, trust yourself in uncertain times, and remember that small acts of kindness and presence ripple out into the world in powerful ways.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, I have something for you that you'll love: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections. This week I’m exploring the energy of boundlessness. This is aword that’s been with me over the past few days, in conversations, and moments of presence. In this episode, I share a personal story about choosing boundless love over shame in my relationship with my husband, and how that shifted everything in the moment.I also talk about:The difference between boundlessness and being boundary-less What it feels like in the body to soften into love when triggeredHow decluttering mirrors this process of expansion and possibilityA moment of eye contact with my children that opened a portal to something biggerSomatic practices that help me access boundlessness in real lifeThe beauty of choosing who you want to be right now, not somedayBoundlessness is a word I’ll be playing with for a while. It invites me to expand beyond limits I didn’t evenknow were there. I hope this conversation opens something gently for you, too.If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, here's something you might find helpful: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereAs always, I’d love to hear your reflections. This week on the podcast, I’m sharing a mantra that’s been helping me through my days the last week or so: slow, simple, less. As we ease into the summer holidays here, I’ve been noticing how easy it is to carry the busyness of the end of the school year into the first few weeks of summer. But my body and my kids have been wanting something different. In this episode, I talk about:• How I’m consciously shifting from that end-of-term frenzy into a slower summer rhythm• A simple circle ritual I did with my kids to mark the transition into the summer holidays• The importance of recognising unseen work and emotional labour, especially during summer with kids at home• How the mantra slow, simple, less helped me navigate a birthday party weekend with presence and ease• Letting go of excess, in my home, my schedule, and even my thoughtsI share some prompts and practices you can use to invite in more slowness, more simplicity, and more spaciousness, especially if you're feeling the weight of the invisible to-do list or the pressure to keep up during summer. If you're keen to get started or continue letting go and decluttering in your home, here's something you might find helpful: ✨ Free Guide to Help You Start Decluttering: A Gentle Guide for Simplifying Your HomeDownload my free guide hereJoin the Next “Let’s Declutter” Group Online SessionWe’re gathering together online on Wednesday July 16th, from 11:00 to 12:15, to declutter a small space in our homes and feel some spaciousness within.
