Bola applied for a position at her dream company. This is her third time of applying but this is the first time she’s getting to the last stage. She kept refreshing her email to see if they sent the offer letter already. The wait was beginning to be tiring. One day, on her way back from her current workplace, tired and frustrated as usual, she got a notification. Yes, you guessed right. Offer of employment! With so much excitement, she crossed the road to sit at her favorite Mama Ochuko’s restaurant. Mama, just give me hot Pepper soup with a big Goat meat. In the excited moment, she just glanced through the contract of employment, signed and sent back to her prospective employer. A year later, she began to have issues about her annual leave and pension deductions. She complained to the HR of the firm who brought out her contract of employment to show her some of the clauses in her contract. It was at this moment she knew SHE MESSED UP! In this episode of The Famsville Pod, Amarachukwu Nedolisa, a Labour and Employment Lawyer at Famsville discussed extensively on various issues that lead to employer-employee disputes and remedies available according to the law. It's sure an enlightening session.  Enjoy!
