First of all, this is the first of a new format we’re going for. Live session with a band, with some chats n that between songs. Apologies for the poor quality of some of the voice recordings. No matter how much we tried to suggest talking into a mic, it didn’t happen. We gave up In the end. Anyways, enjoy the Winonas, and thanks to Barry at Here We Aren’t in Peterborough for hosting us. This one is a hideously self indulgent retrospective of the last 5 years, plus some songs we don't play live. And I wonder what Steve and Simon had for dinner?Lewis is missing cos we forgot to mention we were doing an episode. Oops.
Wanted to get this one out on podcast, because Scary Clown Promotions put on hands down, the best gigs in Peterborough/Stamford, and to top It off, they're annoyingly awesome people. Here we're chatting to Matty, and we talk about all things clown and punk rock.

We're back!! After a good 9 months off, we are back with a discussion with Sheffields Get The Fuck Outta Dodge. They are a great band, and lovely people. We talk DIY punk and collaborating with the Japanese.
Check em out here, They're ace!!
In this episode, we discuss the worst of people….. the racist England football fan. We have the introduction of Simon’s new feature, and Stephen’s history lesson. This weeks song off features, Suicide Cop and Call To The Faithful.
First of all, apologies for the slightly poor sound quality. Tried a method that we thought would be nice and easy and would be the ultimate solution. It wasn't. We at least now know what NOT to do.
So this week, we are joined by Tio Rico bassist and Horn and Hoof Records big boss man, Scott Bradley. Super nice guy, and cat lover. He bought with him a wonderful entry to the "Song Off", and plenty of good chat. Any bands wanting to know how to get signed to a small independent record label should take note. Also, any bands who want to do it themselves should take note.
This weeks Song Off features Warrington Punk band Hummer, Melbourne Garage Rock band Bad Bangs, and Norwich based (kind of) rock band Eat Your Own Head
Thanks to all the bands for letting us use your music.
This weeks episode features a great musical competition between 2 artists who are very different from each of musically but share similarities in that they are both doing things differently from others in the local scenes. We also discuss, the euros, taking on board criticism and Steves new feature "Today In History".
So the amazing artists this week are Cliff Hazzard, who can be found here, and Sleeps Cousin who can be found here, and voting can be found here
In this episode, we discuss things such as overthinking song-writing, Jeremy Corbyn’s Kings Lynn welcome, and we have the first instalment of the world cup of bands. Turns out we’re making up the rules as we’re going along.
Our featured bands today are Pinfold who are from Leeds and can be found here, and The Meffs from Colchester, who can be found here.
We will create a poll on our Das Kapitans Facebook page to decide the winner of this round. Also, if you're listening on Anchor, make sure you leave a message for us to play.

This episode features the return of Sprainer after a brief break. You can’t keep a good Sprainer down. All songs were recorded at the No Gods No Mangers show at the Ostrich Peterborough
Steve, Simon, Alan and Ryan (in a car) (not driving) sat and talked about the new 6 track SPLIT EP. Available everywhere from Feb 14th 2025.
