tough to understand
Always enjoy this group. Merry Thanksgiving!
This time is different. I will always win employing my Pavlovian induced responce to buy the dip? It works! Until it doesn't.
@21:55 recent graduates in computer sciences can't find jobs, yet the USCOC is whining and filing lawfare against the $100k tariff on cheap H-1B labor imports on behalf of their members. Their members heavy dependence on this cheap slave labor pool to displace domestic workers and undercut wages for aspiring entry level workers is nothing short of subversive. Would it surprise you that to completely screw #taxslaves the USCOC also advocates heavy subsidies to the #Educational_Indistrial_Complex
Shifting from quarterly reporting only has one down side that I can see. That is less opportunity to identify accounting shenanigans, but I don't think most are vigilant on that front anyway.
@ 18:40 Seems like she's encountered TDS insanity first hand. Haven't we all?
Enjoyed the content regarding quant analysis. I was a bit distracted over the horrible industry covered though. This is a very subversive societal destroying industry, full of foreign money and influence peddling. If your local pol voted to pass this crap, look at the money trail to find out by whom they were purchased. Maybe next time the quant could cover a decent industry, like banking, reliable energy. materials, or utilities. Thanks for covering the quants perspective though.
I wish WMT traded at $200/share. Bad analysis not corrected by host.
LOL at your guest. "We don't want to be producing things in the US, we've become much more evolved than that." Precisely the kind of thinking that landed us in this current quagmire. Wait till the SHTF and no one knows how to make anything or can contribute meaningfully in making even a bit part of anything. Whoops, soorry that was the plan!
Excellent interview. Thanks.
episode is almost unintelligible. interviewer sound is great, but guest is hard to understand maybe hardware issues
good podcast except for the historical revisionism. most of the chaos that you ascribe to the '80s actually occurred in the 70s. the '80s unwound the volatility of the 70s created by the policies of LBJ and his comrades in the '60s.
September rate cut is political. They want the sure thing, rather than the probable. Drag that corpse acrossed the finish line. Very well done episode, market sure looks like topping action.
