Utenfor vinduet danset nordlyset over himmelen i grĂžnne og lilla farger. English:Petter and Hilde had always dreamed of traveling on Hurtigruten. On a cold March morning they finally stood on the quay in Bergen. «This will be like a bus route, but with sea, mountains and seafood!» laughed Petter excitedly. They boarded MS «Kong Harald». The cabin was small, but warm and cozy. They tossed down their bags and went straight out to the lounge. The view from there was enormous! Large windows showed fjords, snow-covered peaks and small red houses at the water's edge. Hurtigruten sailed northward – past tall mountains, tiny fishing villages and lighthouses that stood alone in the sea and blinked with their light. At dinner they ate cod and sour cream porridge. «Tasted much better than bus food!» said Hilde and took an extra spoonful. Outside the window the northern lights danced across the sky in green and purple colors. The next day they went ashore in Ålesund. They climbed the 418 steps to Fjellstua and saw the whole city spread out below them. In Trondheim they just managed to buy warm cinnamon buns before the ship honked and sailed further north.«Imagine that people also use this as regular transport,» wondered Petter as they stood on deck and watched the sun go down over the sea. For some Norwegians Hurtigruten is just a way from A to B. But for Petter and Hilde it was a floating adventure – one magical stop at a time, with ocean view right from the cabin!Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
