Both Democrats and President Trump wanted to make Tuesday’s off-year elections the “Energy Election.” And it was not a good night for Republicans. Left-wing climate media say this is proof voters oppose Trump’s roll-back of “green” energy mandates and subsidies. Is there any truth to that? On Episode #181 of The Climate Realism Show, we’ll drill into that. The Heartland Institute’s Jim Lakely, Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, and Linnea Lueken will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the Week, including giving up your pets to save the climate, whether we should be concerned about the “fastest glacier retreat in Antarctica in modern history,” and noticing that the EU has weakened its “climate target” just as the world flies to Brazil for the United Nations’ climate confab, COP30.Join us LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, X, and Facebook.Visit our sponsor, Advisor Metals: https://climaterealismshow.com/metalsChapters: 00:55 Why Friday is the best day of the week03:02 Guest and Panel Introduction4:30 Climate News of the week13:46 Antarctic ice grows back?22:22 The Guardians coping and grifting over the Climate as always30:33 Bad Start for COP 3042:33 Main Topic: Climate Energy & the Election1:00:14 Advisory Metals1:02:07 Q & A with Linnea In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. After years of funding and fueling climate panic, Bill Gates has done an about-face. In a new 17-page memo released ahead of COP-30 in Brazil, Gates admits that rising temperatures will “not lead to humanity’s demise” and urges the climate community to drop its “doomsday outlook.” This marks a stunning shift for one of the world’s most prominent climate influencers and could signal a long-overdue return to honest, fact-based climate discussion. In Episode #180 of The Climate Realism Show, hosts Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely break down what Gates’ reversal means for climate policy, science, and the green tech industry. They also cover the Crazy Climate News of the Week, including a new study showing wind turbines are even worse for birds than previously believed, claims that climate change is to blame for higher Halloween candy prices, and why attributing the intensity of Hurricane Melissa to global warming is misguided.Join us LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, and X. The United Nations narrowly avoided approve a new tax on carbon-dioxide emissions from shipping today. Their goal was to raise at least $10 billion a year and put it in a new “Net Zero Fund” to “mitigate negative impacts” on nations supposedly suffering because of climate change. Trump threatened nations who supported it with punitive tariffs, and the world backed down. But they will be back. An unelected United Nations wants to rule over the entire globe with the power to levy direct taxes as it sees fit. The United States—and every country that values representative democracy and individual liberty—must continue to oppose this with every tool at their disposal. On Episode #178 of The Climate Realism Show, we’ll dig into this disturbing and likely illegal attempted UN power grab and cover the week’s Crazy Climate News. Is climate change giving dolphins Alzheimer’s? What the heck is “carbon butter,” and how does it taste? Is Bill Gates the most dangerous man on the planet? We ask WeatherBELL Analytics’ Joe Bastardi, one of America’s best hurricane forecasters, to share his insights. In Episode #177 of The Climate Realism Show, The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely also tackle the Crazy Climate News of the Week, including a misleading Bloomberg chart that “climate denialists can’t ignore,” how arson, not “climate change,” caused the Pacific Palisades fire, why the predicted increase in EF5 tornadoes never materialized, and how inhalers are now being targeted by climate activists.Tune in LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, and X, and join us in the live chat.Visit our sponsor, Advisor Metals: https://climaterealismshow.com/metalsCHAPTERS00:00 Intro3:35 Another Climate Nut Arsonist in CA15:03 A Chart We Won't Ignore24:42 Inhalers Cause Climate Change?31:16 Strong Tornadoes Still Rare39:29 NEW Climate at a Glance Book!43:51 What Happened to All the Hurricanes?59:12 Check Out Advisor Metals1:01:01 Q&A1:28:45 Closing thoughts In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. When The New York Times starts to wonder if the world has given up on fighting climate change, maybe it’s time to believe them? The UN is gearing up for COP30 in Brazil, where global elites will once again lecture the world about “climate catastrophe.” But behind the rhetoric lies hypocrisy: bulldozing the Amazon to host the event, while new science shows the rainforest is actually thriving thanks to carbon dioxide. In this interview, Heartland Institute President James Taylor explains why the U.S. should refuse to participate, how the global climate agenda is really about power and redistribution, and why so-called “green” energy sources like wind and solar are neither clean, affordable, nor reliable.Heartland will be in Brazil as the unofficial American delegation—bringing facts the UN won’t share.👉 Learn more at https://heartland.org 👉 Explore the Affordable, Reliable, Clean Scorecard: Heartland Institute Scorecard In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. At the United Nations this week — during “Climate Week” in New York City — Donald Trump delivered what may be the most honest climate speech ever given by an American president. He called climate alarmism “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world,” mocked failed doomsday predictions, and warned global leaders about the dangers of the green agenda. On Episode #175 of The Climate Realism Show, we’ll break down Trump’s historic remarks, highlight why no other world leader (except maybe Argentina’s Javier Milei) would dare to speak this bluntly, and cover more Crazy Climate News of the Week from Climate Week in NYC.Join Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and special guest Marc Morano of CFACT for this live broadcast.📺 Tune in LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, and X — and join us in the live chat!Chapters: 00:47 Start 05:23 Greta Thumberg Cancelled? 13:30 Conservative MOLE in the Climate Movement20:20 EPA Ends where ROMANCE with Activism?29:10 Trump COOKED the UN48:12 Q&A In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. The media has started to notice that opposition to the “net zero” agenda is fueling a political revolution in Great Britain. POLITICO just ran a hit piece on The Heartland Institute and its climate science and policy presentation at a Reform UK party event this month. It treats as a scandal that Heartland UK/Europe has “held conversations with policymakers within Reform UK.”Did that happen? You bet. And it’s long overdue for organized and effective pushback against climate alarmism and net zero madness. On Episode #174 of The Climate Realism Show, we welcome back the indefatigable Lois Perry, director of Heartland UK/Europe and host of her new program The Lois Perry Show: A Bird’s Eye View. A new poll out of the United Kingdom shows that Brits who think the dangers of global warming are exaggerated and phony has soared by 50 percent compared to four years ago. So it is also not a surprise that the Labour Party’s “net zero” agenda is increasingly hated by the British public, too. Is it just a coincidence that Heartland UK/Europe is now on the ground there pushing back at climate alarmism? Perhaps. But it’s also a fact that climate realism is a big part of the Reform UK party agenda, which was highlighted at a party event last week.On Episode #172 of The Climate Realism Show, we bring back the indefatigable Lois Perry, director of Heartland UK/Europe and host of her own new show — The Lois Perry Show: A Bird’s Eye View — to talk about all that and some of the crazy climate news of the week. When five independent scientists dared to produce the first U.S. government report to reject the climate alarmist narrative, Big Climate vowed to strike back. And it has. This week, a group of 85 scientists released a rebuttal to the Department of Energy’s “Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S. Climate.” They condemned the report, writing that “no one should doubt human-caused climate change is real,” and attacked the work and motivations of the 2025 Climate Working Group authors: Judith Curry, John Christy, Steven Koonin, Ross McKitrick, and Roy Spencer. We will rebut their rebuttal on Episode 172 of The Climate Realism Show.Join The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely, along with special guest Steve Milloy, as they hit this topic, cover the Crazy Climate News of the Week, and answer your questions. The EPA is moving to rescind the 2009 “endangerment” finding that declared CO₂ a pollutant—supposedly dangerous to human health, well-being, and the planet. Now that the public comment period is open, the National Academy of Sciences is rushing activist scientists into action to defend it. The usual suspects—Michael Mann, Zeke Hausfather, and others—are already whining, while media allies like AP’s Seth Borenstein launch their own attacks. In this episode of The Climate Realism Show, The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, H. Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely—joined by returning special guest Chris Martz—dig into the coming “NASty Gram” on CO₂ headed to the EPA. Chris brings his sharp, meteorology-based analysis to cut through the noise and spotlight the facts. We also cover some of the week’s most outrageous climate news: claims that “deniers” are refusing to die from heat waves, a school district ditching electric buses to go back to gas because EVs can’t be repaired, and why climate change isn’t dooming your bananas.Sponsored by Advisor Metals Protect your wealth with precious metals: https://climaterealismshow.com/metals In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. During COVID, power‑mad government officials around the globe shut down society to protect us from a contagious virus that killed a small percentage of those who got it. Restaurants, parks, and beaches were closed. Gatherings larger than what could fit in a phone booth were canceled. They even told us not to celebrate Thanksgiving with our loved ones for “the greater good.”Today, power‑grabbers in Canada are banning hikers from the woods in the Maritimes and imposing enormous fines on those who dare set foot in their own public forests. Why? Because of the Canadian wildfires. And this kind of madness is just the beginning.Join The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely — along with special guest Matthew Wielicki — to discuss the coming Climate Lockdowns. We will also cover some of the crazy climate news of the week, including rap music being used to raise climate awareness among the illiterate in Pakistan, the continued blackballing of non‑alarmist climate scientists, and how the road to Hell is being paved with green intentions. A “1,000-year flood.” The hottest temperatures ever recorded! Wildfires “everywhere.” The legacy media and social platforms can’t stop peddling sensational “climate p0rn” — fear-based stories designed to shock, not inform. But behind the dramatic headlines lies a far different reality. This is a historic week—historically catastrophic for climate alarmists who have bullied their way through every institution in the United States and around the world. Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency formally announced, at long last, that it will repeal the so-called “Endangerment Finding” for carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. The EPA has determined that GHGs are not pollution and that their emissions from human activity do not pose a threat to human health. On the same day, Trump’s Department of Energy released a “critical review of impacts of GHG emissions on the U.S. climate.” This marks the first time ever that a climate report from the federal government can withstand scientific scrutiny, as it is based on actual science and data rather than politics or any particular agenda. The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely will be joined by Dr. Judith Curry, president of Climate Forecast Applications Network (CFAN). Dr. Curry is one of America's most prominent climate scientists and a co-author of the Department of Energy’s critical review. We will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the Week from around the world. The International Court of Justice at the United Nations this week ruled that failing to take poverty-creating “appropriate action to protect the climate system” — meaning ending the use of life-giving fossil fuels — could open nations to being hauled before a global tribunal to answer for their crimes. As a trio of climate attorneys wrote in The New York Times, “continuing fossil fuel production and use, let alone expanding it, violates the law.” We’ll see about that. But this development is just the latest in a long line of legal actions trying to enforce climate communism, even as more and more countries reject it.The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and our special guest Daren Bakst — director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute — will also cover some of the breaking and Crazy Climate News of the Week from around the world. Thanks to Trump, those gasoline cans everyone hates will no longer be mandatory. We now have only three years left to save the planet, apparently. The two most important members of the Trump administration reversing years of climate alarmism and junk science in public policy have been crushing it in media appearances. Alarmist outlets like CNN are on the defensive, left with little to say after EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Energy Secretary Chris Wright finish with them. Never before have both public policy and public messaging been this coordinated and effective at pushing back against the alarmist narrative. We’ll break it all down. The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and special guest Steve Milloy of JunkScience.com will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the Week: Greta Thunberg’s Sweden is backing away from its climate-fighting commitments (with other European countries soon to follow), global warming supposedly makes kids dumber, the carbon footprint of heart surgery is now a “big concern,” and the National Academy of Sciences is throwing a Hail Mary to save the Endangerment Finding for greenhouse gases. Losing the 2000 election was the best thing to happen to Al Gore. He has since become insanely wealthy and admired around the world by peddling climate alarmism. Hollywood gave him an Oscar for his fictitious documentary An Inconvenient Truth, and (like Michael Mann) he claims to be a Nobel Peace Prize winner for his environmental activism.Yet despite trillions of dollars in propaganda, there’s a sign that Gore’s message of doom is in big trouble: He gave a TED Talk attacking “climate realists” by name. That’s BIG, folks—it shows that the truth, the data, and reality are winning. The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and our special guest Lois Perry, director of Heartland UK/Europe, will cover some of the breaking and crazy climate news of the week from around the world.Antarctica is gaining ice, defying the predictions of climate doomers. The tragedy on the Guadalupe River in Texas is as shocking and sad as it gets. A flash flood took the lives of at least 100 people, including many children, at a popular Christian summer camp held in the floodplain. Climate alarmists and ghoulish politicians were quick to blame both climate change and budget and staffing cuts by President Trump for the loss of life. The truth is, the federal agency responsible for issuing flash flood warnings did its job and confirmed it had sufficient staffing. Flash floods are a regular occurrence in the Texas Hill Country, with that very same floodplain experiencing a similar tragedy in the 1980s. The attempts to politicize this tragedy and use it to advance the climate agenda are disgusting and wrong. On episode #164 of The Climate Realism Show, we bring you the facts. The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the Week with special guests Myron Ebell and Steve Milloy. What changes are afoot in climate and energy policy thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill signed into law by President Trump on July 4? Two of the most prestigious physicists in America have written a new paper explaining why greenhouse gases (GHG) produced by human activity — namely carbon dioxide — cannot cause dangerous warming on the planet. Based on their findings, Dr. Will Happer and Dr. Richard Lindzen urge Congress to repeal all Net Zero subsidies, all laws requiring GHG emission reductions, and all restrictions on fossil fuel development and infrastructure. Our special guest this week is Dr. Will Happer, who will break down how he and Dr. Lindzen reached this conclusion — and why continuing to push Net Zero without scientific justification is a recipe for economic disaster. On Episode #163 of The Climate Realism Show, Dr. Happer joins The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely to also cover the Crazy Climate News of the Week.📺 Join us LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, and X — and drop your questions for Dr. Happer and the panel in the live chat!LINK TO Dr.  Happer's Paper: https://co2coalition.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Lindzen-Happer-GHGs-and-Fossil-Fuels-Climate-Physics-2025-06-07.pdf In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. What an incredibly disappointing podcast. Tapped in to listen and there wasn't at all a discussion on the pros and cons of policy change etc. They just delivered unsupported statements on vast quantities of costs and resources that green energy will cost. At some point laughing out loud at how stupid the idea of going fossil fuel free across the globe is. This isn't an environmental podcasts, this isn't even climate skepticism, this is a one sided opinion lacking scientific support on the negative impacts of green and climate views and facts, under the guide of those who claim to care for our environment. The LAST thing we need at this time.
