A founder with a strong LinkedIn personal brand is like the equivalent of having 15-20 SDR's.a.k.a. they can drive substantial pipeline all by themselves. In 2024 and onwards...---The B2B companies that place their founder (+ execs) at the heart of their content strategy will gain a real competitive advantage over those who don't.---Why? Two main reasons:---1) Personalities now dominate the inter-webs NOT faceless corps.---2) A personal brand is the best way (outside of in person networking) to build trust and relationships at scale.
Very few B2B companies have cracked YouTube. --- Why? 🤔 --- I think because from the outside: YouTube looks incredibly daunting. --- With creators now like MrBeast and others taking their content to a whole different level... it's easy to just look at it and think "well, we can't match that... so let's not even bother" --- And so in the majority of cases - companies just completely avoid it. --- But here's the thing: --- You don't need a MrBeast (or insert other big name creator) video strategy to win on YouTube as a B2B SaaS/tech company. Nope. --- In fact, in the early days, you can take a very simple lo-fi production approach to YouTube AND still build very strong momentum. --- For this next episode of Video First, I've brought on Ben Toalson to help me tackle some of the common limiting beliefs B2B marketers have around YouTube as a channel. As well as the roadmap for how you should approach it as a complete beginner and novice. --- Ben led the growth of one of my favourite B2B YouTube channels (Podia) and shared some highly *actionable* advice during this conversation.
AJ Wilcox used to be totally against LinkedIn video ads. --- But... now? --- 🚀 He's super bullish on them. --- And it's now a format he's leaning into heavily - both for his own agency as well as his clients. --- In the latest episode of Sway's podcast, Video First, I sat down with AJ to discuss: --- - Why AJ changed his mind on video ads and what's changed. - How/why you should be using video in your LinkedIn ads strategy. - The future of YouTube for B2B companies.

YouTube is the sleeping giant of B2B. Everyone knows it has A LOT of potential and value... But no one really knows to properly leverage it. (There's just very little content on the subject) Which is why for the first episode back of the Winning on Video Podcast... I wanted to bring someone who could actually share unique insights about the channel (based on real lived experience, not BS theory) That person... Gaetano! During our conversation, we discussed: 🔥 A personal story about how a YouTube video influenced Gaetano to buy a Coffee machine and how it relates to B2B. 🔥 Why the real opportunity in the world of B2B content is video, not AI. 🔥 How small teams (and large) can practically get started with video content. This was one of my favourite conversations I've ever recorded... Gaetano dropped a ton of gems that I know you'll find super valuable 😎
