There are movie reviews posted as far as the eye can see on every platform you can think of: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Fortnite (don't know if that last one is true but probably?) and legacy media from The Los Angeles Times to The New Yorker to The BBC drops hundreds of them a week and moviegoers are MORE confused than ever, and more divided on what is good or bad in theaters or on their screens than ever before. Why? Let's talk about it!Join us here https://www.facebook.com/groups/wearehorrorweeklyMusic by Nicholas Savard L'Herbier

“Invention, it must be humbly admitted, does not consist in creating out of void, but out of chaos; the materials must, in the first place, be afforded: it can give form to dark, shapeless substances, but cannot bring into being the substance itself.”― Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, FrankensteinJoin us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wearehorrorweeklyTheme by Nicholas Savard L'Herbier
People expect a lot of dark stuff from horror movies, but there's one dark thing that horror movies are mostly (and surprisingly) against, and you probably are too. Let's talk about it. Join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wearehorrorweeklyTheme by Nicholas Savard L'Herbier

There's a subject that used to be in horror movies, shows and thrillers a lot that you don't see much anymore. But strangely, when you do, it's usually in one of the best movies of the year. A Touch Of The Strange

A Touch Of The Strange

2025-10-0201:11:07

Not all horror movies are strange. Some (a lot) of them are very straightforward. Friday The 13th is a revenge slasher in a camp. Cujo is a rabid dog vs people story. Night Of The Living Dead is mostly a zombie home invasion mvoie. 'Strange' horror comes from A24 (Hereditary, Lamb) and David Lynch and Coralie Fargeat etc., But sometimes, a 'normal' horror movie has something really strange hidden inside of it. Let's talk about it.
Some of our favorite spooky season watches come from a media format that has never been the subject of a horror podcast episode. Not once. Which is odd, since there are a million horror podcasts lol. Let's talk about it. Join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wearehorrorweekly
We are going talk about TWO great villains, a horror masterpiece you've probably seen but not seen all of, a cult horror classic that flopped on its release, and why you should never call people not named Buster 'Buster'.Join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wearehorrorweekly
