This roundtable brings you the best of the Myspace-era bands from two decades ago, and whilst nostalgia is certainly felt, the bands show that they're still making great music to this day. Let's dive back into the 2000s for an hour and discover what these stars have become today, and their comments on how the music industry and its attitudes towards females within it have changed in the time since.

The conversation starts with Kat explaining how she had to make her own way in Los Angeles, having no contacts at all when she started her Holy Wars project, leading to her learning a lot about a DIY ethic and resilience. Kat also discusses how the early loss of her parents taught her to be less focused on unnecessary things, and her journey on writing songs to heal her own trauma.
The conversation starts on Mixi's musical background and how she started her journey in the industry with open mic nights, until she decided to move and to take things more professionally. Hannah discusses the beginning of her rockstar life with a rough first touring experience when she was left on her own, having to learn everything by herself. She also opens up about her sexual orientation, telling us that she "didn't want to shag the guys, [she] wanted to be the guys". Simone tells us about her suitcases constantly being ready to leave the house, her makeup equipment for stage & for the day, and some tricks for when you travel. Simone also tells the full tale of the band's opening sets for Metallica in Hamburg & Paris, from how they learnt they got the gig until the days of the shows.
Kasey gives an introduction to her world of vocal covers that she posts on her social pages (which is how our hosts discovered her) and how that led to her linking up with an becoming the touring vocalist for Nita Strauss. She also tells us about her own personal influences, and spotlights multiple exciting female role models in the scene right now.
Debbie talks about being constantly on the road, avoiding burnout, the difference in playing headline and support gigs, proving the naysayers wrong, the heaviness within Heriot and diversifying, her first show memories and her musical journey, and the strength of the current UK scene.
