In this episode, Justin concludes Season 6 of the podcast by covering Terry Rossio's original script for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This script was written in 2012, and is a completely different version of the film that ended up releasing in 2017. Jack Sparrow searches for a place known as the Mermaid Trove. Philip Swift and Syrena return, alongside what would've been the first main female villain in the franchise, the Sea Widow. Along with sea serpents, other returning characters, a hallucination scene that has Jack Sparrow come face to face with ghosts of his past, and an epic climax, this script is a very interesting read for any Pirates fan!Send an email: podcastsofthecaribbean@gmail.com Twitter/X: @podcastpotcInstagram & Threads: @podcastsofthecaribbean Bluesky: @podcastpotc.bsky.socialCheck out the new Dead Man's Chest 20th Anniversary merch here: https://podcastsofthecaribbean.dashery.com/Read Terry Rossio's script in full here: http://www.wordplayer.com/archives/PIRATES5.cover.html

In this episode, Justin talks about the now defunct attraction The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow that existed at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World from 2012 to 2014. It was an interactive sensory walk-through experience that immersed guests into the Pirates of the Caribbean world and let them interact with Captain Jack Sparrow himself. The attraction included incredible projection effects that brought the show elements and Jack Sparrow to life, and made it seem like you were in the middle of the action.
