Jussi Roine needs no introduction. If you're somehow connected to Microsoft's ecosystem, you've certainly stumbled upon him and his informative posts. His blog is a work of art and he deserves credit for many people's success in the field. On top of that, Jussi is one of the most "down to earth" guys I have ever talked to and we had a lovely discussion which I definitely believe you would enjoy as well. Jimmy Engström is one of personal tech community idols. If I remember correctly the first ever tech session I attended in a community event, was Jimmy's. He is also a Microsoft MVP, a community leader, a conference organizer, a podcast co-host, an author and a great guy in general! A few people has such deep knowledge of Blazor as Jimmy and it was an absolute privilege to hear about it from him. In this episode, Jimmy explains not only what Blazor is (and what isn't) but also in which cases it's a suitable choice and what advantages it has against its counterparts e.g. React and Angular. We had a lovely discussion and I strongly advice that you connect with Jimmy on:LinkedInX
Simon Gottschlag (CTO at Co-native & Microsoft Azure MVP) is one of the most remarkable profiles in the Software Industry in the Gothenburg area. We had a very interesting discussion about how one could revolutionize the consulting-market by allowing consultants work with what they like while the clients still benefit from their aggregated expertise.
Judith is a freelance full-stack software engineer based in Berlin. In this episode Judith her journey from a permanent software engineering role to freelancing, highlighting the importance of gaining initial experience in the corporate world before transitioning. I have been looking forward to recording this episode for a very long time. Emilie is undeniably one of the brightest experts in our region (Öresund) and she stands out pretty much on anything she's up to. In this episode, she's talking about her background (which explains her success on all levels) and about her current project which is one of the most exciting ones I have ever heard of! I do hope that you enjoy this episode as much as I did! You may reach out to Emilie on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emilielundblad/
Lars works as a Platform Leader for one of the world's biggest companies, IKEA. In his role, Lars together with his team, creates a platform which can be used by other teams, to deploy their workloads on Azure; ensuring thus that it is done "in the right way". I got lots of useful learnings and insights during this conversation and I hope that more people think likewise. Connect with Lars on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lars-wurm-01b2bb3/
Hanna is an experienced Azure Expert and a fantastic speaker whose sessions I had the honor to attend twice, in two separate conferences. However, despite her strong Azure profile, her lections had to do with Quantum Computing, a term that's fuzzy to many of us. Avoiding any spoilers, what can be said is that Quantum is the real next big thing. In this episode, we discuss Quantum Computing fundamentals, what it is, and how close it is to bringing the world upside down. Connect with Hanna on: LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/trainerengel/
Ana's story is one of the most exciting ones I have ever heard. Combining studies in various fields and countries, Ana has traveled (more or less) all over the world and attended classes in multiple universities and this has shaped her into the brilliant individual she is today. This episode was recorded in the Royal Danish Library (Black Diamond) in Copenhagen and it's full of background sounds which creates an exciting atmosphere in the background. I hope you enjoy Ana's story and the episode in general. Connect with Ana on: LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/anamargaridavalente/
The legendary Marc Duiker accepted my invitation and is my second guest for this season!!! I don't think that Marc needs a lot of introduction but just in case you are new in Tech, Marc is the guy with the awesome beard, the blue top hat (at least in conferences) and the mad skillz, especially on Dapr. In this episode we talked about on of Marc's latest Azure Triumphs where he held a Lead Developer position and successfully lead a Cloud Migration project. I hope you enjoyed the episode as much as I did. Connect with Marc on: X: https://twitter.com/marcduiker LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/mduiker/
This is the first episode of the second season and I wanted it to be special, and I think I hit the bull's eye. I have never met Ellie in real life; I only know her from her activity on X and LinkedIn, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that she's a special one. Ellie has just started her career as a Software Engineer and I am convinced that her story will inspire everybody who's just started or considers starting a career in tech as a Software Engineer. Ellie and I spent an hour talking about her explorations, what motivates her, and what helps her keep it up in a high tempo. I promise you a story that will exceed your wildest expectations. Connect with Ellie on: X: https://twitter.com/elliezub LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/elliezubrowski/
For the last episode of this first season, I couldn't ask for a better guest than the fantastic Irina Dragunova. Irina works for Microsoft and if she hadn't then maybe she would be a world-famous painter or mathematician today! Listen to her explaining her career journey and of course, her triumph project which includes Power BI and SAP! Reach Irina Dragunova on: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dragunova-irina
The reality is that you're only an expert in your perspectives, all the other perspectives, someone else would be better equipped to share. I am very proud of this episode as I had the honor to discuss with Jennifer Andersson about inclusiveness, equality, and diversity in the tech branch. Jennifer works for Microsoft as a Cloud Specialist and we have overlapping interests regarding Microsoft Azure as well as the very important topics I mentioned above. This episode has NOTHING to do with Azure and a lot to do with inclusiveness, equality & diversity. Discussing with Jennifer has been an eye-opener and a great lesson for me. For the 10th episode of the Azure Triumphs podcast, I had a fantastic discussion with Marilag Svennevig Founder & CIO at Dewise, Co-Founder of ULAP.org, Cloud Architect, and of course Microsoft MVP on Azure. Besides her very interesting story about the project that was built by a hybrid team, Marilag talks about her community endeavors and her side projects that help people begin their careers. Episode 9 - Kevin Evans

Episode 9 - Kevin Evans

2023-09-0201:02:16

Yet another exciting guest talks about his triumph with Azure! I have been seeing Kevin Evans around, in the common digital neighborhoods that we share and it was Robin Smorenburg's (S01E08) kind words about him that gave me the courage to contact Kevin. Working at Microsoft as a Cloud Solution Architect and having recently moved to Canada from the UK, Kevin had very interesting stories to tell. Lovely discussion and great insights about how a landing zone is "inevitable" if you want to do "serious work" on Azure! I have had Robin on my "radar" for some time now, being active in common communities and forums as well as on my LinkedIn wall. Little did I know that he has had such an interesting career within Tech and that we have so many common interests, mostly related to Azure. Robin shared with me one of the most interesting projects I have heard of, including Blockchain, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and everything around those terms. On top of that, we discussed career paths and passion for knowledge sharing. Reach Robin Smorenburg on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/smorenburg/ X: https://twitter.com/robinsmorenburg
I had a great discussion with Sherry List (Senior Program Manager at Microsoft) and Goran Vuksic (Engineering Manager at Pandora) who explained how they trained a ..."crown" to read one's thoughts and convert the thoughts to commands executed by drones and robots. It was one of the most "jaw dropping" discussions I have had! This one was special. We recorded this episode live, at the premises of Foo Café, in Malmö (Sweden) as part of the Global Azure 2023 activities. I had the honor to have Johan Åhlén (Chief Architect of Region Skåne) and Magnus Mårtensson (Azure Expert, Microsoft MVP, Regional Manager) as guests and we had a wonderful discussion regarding the work Johan, Magnus and their team are doing to bring Skåne's healthcare (and other services) to the digital era, using amongst others Microsoft Azure. There are situations where any known and commonly accepted practice fails. There are projects that can't be solved with traditional methods. There are special tasks who need special people and Ali Reza Farahnak & Carl Peter McCollough are exactly this kind of people. In the 5th episode I had the joy and honor to have a discussion with those two Microsoft-ninjas who work with special projects worldwide. The discussion escalated from big fat SQL-databases to how AI is an unavoidable power-tool for all every IT expert.
