Talking about things I’m thankful for.
Stories, movie recommendations, local hauntings(or not) and a lot more!
One of my co-workers quickly runs away when I start to tell a story and exclaims “It’s Story Time again!” Anyways, I thought I would just tell some stories about my time away from podcasting and an update on my health. It’s all in fun for the most part. I hope you enjoy it!
I was inspired by a friends pictures of her 5 year old son going to kindergarten to do a podcast about when I entered kindergarten and how I realized that it wasn’t just a big step for me, but a big, emotional step for my mom watching her youngest child enter into school. It was an interesting time in my life, full of wonder and first time experiences. I was called “Brubby” at home but at school I was “Leonard”.
Time is fleeting and things move so fast! Kind of a catch up episode and lots of other stuff. This is also my last episode of season 4!
Getting ready for my 40 Year Class Reunion. I’m discussing my feelings on that subject and also discussing what was popular in 1985.
I lost one of my best friends, my other mother, my work mentor Wilma Ogilvie on March 14, 2025. This is my tribute to her, a true legend of Christopher, Il.
Sharing the state of my life and my world.
There used to be a Twitter account that a guy called “Sh*t My Dad Says”, which was made into a TV Series starring William Shatner. My dad was like that. He had his own little way of saying things. Everybody called my dad “Mighty” (a.k.a. Leonard Riggs, Sr) because of his athletic abilities when he was younger and i still have to laugh at his “Mightyisms”.
Reminiscing about my life in the 1980’s. I was 13 at the beginning of the decade and ended it as a 23 year-old. The 80’s were all about music and movies for me. My life wasn’t very interesting, but the entertainment was amazing!
Thought I’d talk about how I’m doing after the holidays and how I’m coping still with loss. It’s a continuing journey and I hope I can help someone by sharing my thoughts.
My special podcast on my 58th birthday. Year 57 was quite a year.
I love December! I was born December 21 and this month seems like a homecoming of sorts to me. I love Christmas, the movies, the music and just all the memories of Christmas past. I’m here to talk A LOT about it!
With the deaths of my mother and older sister, I’ve had to adjust to living without two of the most important people of my life. Today I’m discussing what I’m doing and how I’m changing things up.
I was blessed to have had 4 older sisters. I am the baby of the family and the only boy. I’m sharing a few memories and stories about our life.
Talking about fall and other stuff because I can’t ever stay on the subject. Hey, it’s my podcast and I’ll talk about what I want. :)Also, I talked about fall last year..but this is a sequel.
Talking about my favorite subject…my cats.
I loved toys. The Sears “Wish Book” catalog was my bible for what I wanted for Christmas. I had and wanted a LOT of cool toys in my childhood.(my mother nicknamed me “Leonard “I Want” Riggs”) I tried to remember a lot of them that I had or wanted.
Summer boredom gets the best of me. Definitely NOT my favorite season, but often I am inspired when I am bored.
Just an update on how I am doing after losing my mom and how I cope.
