We would like to welcome our first ever guest to 'In One Ear, Out The Other'! For our volunteering episode we decided that it would be amazing to have a staff member from Newport Mind to feature as a guest. So, Kim joined us for this episode where we discuss all things volunteering. Though Kim currently works at Newport Mind, she started as a volunteer so we were curious about experiences in both roles :)
In this episode we explored our favourite things about volunteering and what types of projects we have been involved in.

Have you ever wanted to know more about your personality? Well we did! So, we decided to complete the '16 Personality Quiz' and answered every question live! Then, we compared our results and did some further research into our individual types and roles. Learning about your personality type can help you to articulate your strengths and weaknesses, preferred tasks and projects, and understand how you relate to the people around you. We believe that this is a very useful tool to have.
Though this is a bit of a longer episode, it is definitely an interesting one so we encourage you to complete the quiz yourself! Tell us if you are also very feel and a little bit think hahah - you'll have to listen to find out what we mean :D
Don't forget to message us your results! Hope you enjoy!

There are so many questions and assumptions around going to university so this episode discusses the process of applying and going to university from different perspectives. This included two people who are currently in university, one who will be heading off soon and someone who doesn't know much about the process yet. We looked at life at university as a whole, expectations vs reality, what to expect and what you can learn from going. We hope that this answers some queries that people have about further education!
