When you use p*rn a lot, one of the consequences is that it changes and warps your desires. It's common for addicts to end up watching content that isn't even aligned with their true desires or even true sexual orientation.

The world you live in is unfortunately keeping you stuck in man-child mode. This happens in many ways and one of them is the topic of this podcast episode: you never learn to create and cultivate deep social connections or deep romantic connections.
The world (especially the online media world) is obsessed with all the aspects of shallow and fleeting connection. It trains you to chase variety and to see social connection through the lens of status. Why is there so much confusion on this topic? Some people claim that pornography is completely harmless and everyone has the right to get off on whatever they want. Other people claim porn is the worst thing ever, will lead to the demise of humanity... oh and by the way, if you quit, you get superpowers!
It can be confusing and frustrating for anyone trying to navigate this space and figuring out what is best for themselves.
The main reason for all this confusion is that most people don't realize that A) porn addiction exists and B) there are levels to it.
Once you understand what these levels are, you also understand why people disagree so much and why different kinds of advice will either work or not work for different kinds of people.
