In this episode we have Chue Yee Vang, CEO of Malee's Kitchen. In a relatively short amount of time Chue has been able to increase the revenue of the family restaurant from 6-figures to 7-figures. Chue's story is one that will really ring home if you grew up within a family business, there was some hesitation from his parents to hand over the reigns of the operations. It's only natural, as the new generations come up, it can be difficult to navigate past the "Old Ways" into the New Era. We also cover a heart warming story, about how Chue was able to help his mom get her time back, and stop being so involved in the business. Like many business owners, his mom worked 12-14 hour shifts every day. Chue was able to go into the business, and establish systems that allowed his mom to have her time back. This has been one of our favorite episodes to date. Frankie Quiroz joins the boys… Well actually we joined him. He hosted us at his amazing house in Riverside, and Frankie WENT IN.First of all, if you don’t know who Frankie is, he has been ULTRA Successful in the fashion industry building multiple multimillion dollar brands. He is the mastermind behind Tuned in Tokyo, one of the staple brands in streetwear that is STILL going strong after years of being on the market. To put it simple, this man has sold TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars of apparel.Nowadays if you look up Frankie, you’ll see the Lambos, the trips, the nice watches, all of the material things you’d associate with a successful business owner, but Frankie started from the BOTTOM. He grew up in the hood, moving from neighborhood to neighborhood as a kid. His parents immigrated from Mexico and did everything they could to help Frankie on his way up. He came from the bottom, bottom. No one in his family had any sort of success, he didn’t have anyone to teach him the path to being a millionaire.If you listen closely Frankie gives you a blueprint to success. EVEN if you come from nothing, and have no connections, you can still make it happen. He’s not shy about sharing his secret recipe. As a standout College Wrestler, Cody eventually found his way into the underground MMA world, which 10 years ago did not look like what you see today. Today the amateur scene is pretty popular and there are a couple of Big Amateur promotions that are state sanctioned Back in the day, there was no state sanctioned events in the Central ValleyEventually Cody made a name for himself, and kept on pushing, and he got his UFC Start against Aljamain Sterling. Fun fact: it was both of their career debuts that night.After a rocky start the UFC terminated Cody, and it was a LONG ROAD to get back into the UFC. It took 9 years for Cody to make his appearance on The UFC's The UltimateFighter. During those 9 years Cody DID NOT give up on his dream. Even when things seemed out of reach. Cody kept on pushing on. For some perspective he is also a FULL Time Teacher and DAD Cody also expressed the really supporting role his wife had as he pushed on and pursued his dream to get back into the UFC and make fighting a career that can pay the bills.We get into what it was like to be in the building with Chandler and McGregorOverall, Cody's story is one of perseverance, and relentlessness. He never gave up, and he kept on pushing.
