In this episode I interview Hazel Lim, who has an interesting approach when it comes to building businesses. Hazel runs a personal venture studio. What does that mean? In essence, she uses a system to launch/validate a bunch of ideas for products/businesses rather than focus all of her energy on any single idea (at least until one of those ideas proves to be a smashing success). I had never heard of this approach before, but after speaking with Hazel, I think that it might be the perfect match for many solo builders in the no code space. All of Hazel's links are below. Enjoy the conversation! Hazel's Links: Twitter: https://twitter.com/byhazellim Hazel's Newsletter: https://whatthehype.beehiiv.com/

In this episode I interview Matt Neary. Matt is a Bubble.io educator. He runs a popular YouTube channel where he posts free Bubble tutorials, and also offers a course for students who want to master Bubble at Think It Built It. One of the things I love about his approach to education is how he incorporates storytelling into his lessons. He has a background in film, and as you’ll see from our conversation, he seems to almost approach teaching and even product development from the perspective of a filmmaker or story teller. He’s focused on leading his students or product users through a narrative and on revealing the right information at the right time. We spend a lot of time talking about education and the best ways to learn to Bubble, we spend some time talking about how AI is going to impact education, and we even get into the topic of fatherhood. Today I'm speaking with Jake Singer, cofounder of Swapstack -- a marketplace that connects email newsletter writers with advertisers. As you'll hear from our conversation, the birth and evolution of Swapstack is an amazing story, and one with tons of lessons you can extract. We discuss such things as: the process of product validation; tips for finding the right cofounder; why people tend to overbuild things, and much, much more. Most people are surprised to learn that Swapstack was built without code on Bubble, and as someone building in this space, that makes me happy. Who cares what a product was built on. Does it solve a real problem? Does it provide value? How much value? Is it a joy to use...These are the most important questions. Enjoy the conversation. In this episode I interview Kelly Claus. Kelly is a real gem, and even though we've only met a hand full of times online, I feel like I've known her for years. She stumbled upon Bubble like most of us do, and mastered the platform quicker than anyone I've ever seen.
