In this episode Nick and Travis interview a Special Guest to delve into the current craft beer trends, as well as the evolution of craft beer, that brought us to the craft beer scene today. Is craft beer getting boring? Decide for yourself after you listen!
From High School to Podcast Partners - This episode touches on some of our incredible journey of friendship! Join Nick and Travis as they reminisce about their more than 25 year bond that started in high school and led them to create this amazing podcast. Honestly, we could probably do an entire season just talking about old times we've had together, and telling crazy stories. Instead, we're taking this episode to give you all a little peak behind the curtain to get to know us a little better, and who we are outside the show. We appreciate everyone who listens, and we can't wait to bring you more great content as we continue forward. This episode is available in video format on our YouTube channel. You waited for it and here it is! Part 1 of our South Carolina Adventure! Originally everything was going to be a single episode but there was just too much content and there was no way to shrink it down coherently. So here we go, Part 1 of the South Carolina journey with Patrons Billy and Robert. Thank you both, we had such an amazing time with you out on the Hoppy Trail. In this episode we talk about so many places in South Carolina that we can't list them all here. Check our Instagram over the next few weeks where we'll shout them all out individually. Stay tuned for Part 2, which we plan on releasing right after this (if everything goes smoothely, which it never does...). And remember to Always say Yes! to the Hoppy Ending! Cheers. Welcome back Trailmates! In this episode Nick and Travis recap the successes and failures of Thanksgiving dinner, and talk what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers so you don't get bored. Travis talks about his trip to Cambria for the Christmas Market, as well as his stops into Firestone Walker and Barrel House Brewing in Paso Robles, CA. Thanks for joining us, check out and shout out everyone we talk about on the show, and Remember to Always say Yes! to the Hoppy Ending! Cheers. Hit us up on all our socials, and send us yhour comments and feedback, as well as Trail Reports, to contact@hoppytrailspod.com; and find all of our links on www.hoppytrailspod.com
This episode is a delayed release 1) to make sure you get the maximum benefit right before Thanksgiving; and 2) because I really, really had a hard time "fixing" some audio issues. Please, please be kind as the audio is exponentially better than it was, and really this episode almost didn't make it to release! We talk about a lot of breweries, food items, really everything! Remember to give a shoutout to everyone we talk to, and make sure to Alwayus say Yes! to the Hoppy Ending! Cheers. Check out all our links on our linktree, found at www.hoppytrailspod.com, send us your comments and Trail Reports to contact@hoppytrailspod.com; and toss us a couple bucks at Patreon.com/hoppytrailspod
This is an announcement that your regularly scheduled episode has been pushed to next week. Why? Well because it's a Thanksgiving episode completely stuffed with Thanksgiving goodness and it just makes more sense to release it leading up to the big day. It will have so much amazing content that we assure you it's worth the wait! Check out some good stuff we'll be putting out on the socials this weekend, and fear not, next week you will get your Hoppy Ending! Cheers.

Has craft beer gone too far?! Well has it? This episode Nick tells us about multiple adventures he had over the past two weeks, including an amazing Cider Festival. Travis takes us on a journey into a Food & Wine article written in 2017, exploring the adventurous (and sometimes Ballsy) side of craft beer, and uncovers some of the nuance the article's author overlooked. You can read the article for yourself here: https://www.foodandwine.com/lifestyle/has-craft-beer-movement-finally-gone-too-far We would love to hear from you. We had an issue with the video recording so this episode will be audio only. We had special guest Julio Peix, owner of Lefty's Taproom in Sacramento. Julio has many years in the food and beer industry, including many years with the now-former Anchor Brewing when it was owned by Fritz Maytag. We touch on so many topics and honestly we could have kept going for hours. We'll absolutely have Julio back in the future. For not, make sure you buy tickets for the Sacramento Beer and Chili Fest, September 30th, 2023. There will be a ton of great amateur and professional chili being served, as well as 25-30 breweries. www.bit.ly/SacChiliCookoff While you're there check out Lefty's Taproom - https://www.leftystaproom.com/ As always, we ask that you give a shoutout to everyone we mention in this episode on their social media, and patronize them if you can. Hopefully we see you at the Sacramento Beer and Chili Fest, if you can make it be sure to come say hello. And remember to Always say Yes! to the Hoppy Ending! Cheers!   This episode is a very exciting journey down the Hoppy Trail.    First: We have a very special guest, Matteo from Milan Italy. Matteo talks to us about the growth of the Craft Beer movement in Italy, as well as current trends and developments. We talk about comparisons with craft beer in other regions, including the United States which Nick and I are most familiar with. Great information, and we learn about a very "exotic" food that is apparently quite normal in Italy and other parts of the world.   Second: We have launched our YouTube channel! For now, it's just audio versions of the show with our logo as the visual, so feel free to share our past and current episodes with friends and family who may be more inclined to access it on YouTube instead of a podcatcher. Soon we'll be releasing specialized video content made for YouTube, like short interviews, longer cook videos with more instruction than our food reels, and other show related content. Each new episode will automatically release to the channel as well. Check it out!   Finally: We will release our very first VIDEO version of the podcast on Patreon! (as soon as I can get the edited video to export!) To see our beautiful faces, including Matteo's beautiful face, become a patron for as low as $3 a month. We currently don't have any plans for releasing the video version of the show to YouTube in the near future, so the only way to look into our studios for full episodes will be to become a patron.   We put a lot of work into this show, and currently fund it out of our own pockets. Help support the show so we can keep providing you the content you love, and we'll keep looking for creative ways to give back to those that support us!   We have another special Trail Report from listener Billy Joseph Jr., this time out on the road talking to the owner of 12 Bones Brewing in Arden North Carolina. Check them out on Instagram: https://instagram.com/12bonesbrewing   As always, we take some forks in the road, but we always make progress down the Hoppy Trail. Please go to https://patreon.com/HoppyTrailsPod and give us your money! It lets us produce additional content that's only for patrons, send out fun merch, and even release episodes early. If you have a chance please check out everyone we talk about and show them some love, and shout them out on social media so they know where you heard about them! And Always remember to say Yes! to the Hoppy Ending! We would love to hear from you. Please give us feedback, send us Trail Reports, or submit ideas for "Pub Bites" via email to contact@hoppytrailspod.com; you can also find us on our various platforms by going to www.hoppytrailspod.com; and be sure to check out all the fun stuff we post on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hoppytrailspod/ Check out more about this show and other Sequoidea Productions, LLC shows and projects at http://www.Sequoidea.com
