My guest today, a dear brother and friend, Syduel Motha makes interesting reflections on confronting deficits. He speaks around how we should not fall into the risk of taking a disempowered posture when confronting deficits. He further observes that in as much as they must be confronted, they are part of who we are and they allow people to love us uniquely.
Dr Ndaba observes an idea around how we can ensure we process ill experiences a bit better and successfully. He says the quicker we accept that traumatic experiences are going to change us, the better the chances of dealing with them well. He says the challenge is that we usually want to return to be the people we were before the experience, and its not going to happen. You are coming out if this thing a different person. Rather focus on being part of the process of how different you come out, but you are coming different for sure.
Whatever you do not confront, you will not change. We have not mastered everything there is to master in life. We thrive in certain areas whilst some would do with some development. Dont shy away from confrontation, there in lies growth.
