Football is back! Hall of Fame Game, early predications, and more.
We're back! General conversation about all things Colorado Sports.
NUGGETS. AVALANCHE. PLAYOFFS. ROUND TWO. Colorado Sports history has been made in the Mile High City and Alyssa, Gideon, Miles, and Jordan have a lot to say about it!
BRONCOS. AVALANCHE. NUGGETS. ROCKIES. Jordan and Alyssa do a speed-cast covering all four major Colorado sports teams since this week has been insane for Colorado Sports!
AVALANCHE GOOOOOAL!!! Man oh man, it was great to hear that SIX TIMES last night at The Pepsi Center. Avalanche fans showed up loud and proud and helped the Avs bring home their second win of this Stanley Cup playoff series against the Calgary Flames. Listen now to our all Avs episode wherever you find your podcasts.
It’s Nuggets Playoff basketball, folks! We cover the end of the Nuggets season and the importance of how the games transpired around the league to clinch 2nd in the West!  We’ve got the Spurs in the first round and talk about the matchups across the series between players and coaching. There are also tidbits of possible upcoming matchups and the playoffs as a whole. Let’s go Nuggets!!
The Colorado Rockies are back home at Coors Field (though off to a rocky start), the Avalanche have clinched a playoff spot, and the Nuggets are battling to retain their standing as 2nd in the west. Great week for Colorado sports and we had SO MUCH to talk about! Listen now:
Colorado sports fans, it’s been a great week! Nuggets clinched a playoff spot. Avalanche have battled into a wildcard spot. And Rockies baseball is right around the corner. Listen and react! Which player will be a game-changer this Spring?
Jokic brought home an exciting win right at the buzzer against the Mavericks! If the Nuggets can play consistently over these final 15 games they can absolutely take 1st in the West from the Warriors. The Avalanche are not technically eliminated from play-off contention, but it’s not looking good. The 5280 hosts do not see eye-to-eye about what to expect from the Avs in these final 11 games. The Broncos have acquired Flacco, Jackson, and James in free agency. Who are you most excited about?
We have a couple quick updates for the Rockies and Broncos. Our main focus is on the Avalanche and Nuggets struggles along with some injury news. Avs appear to be making a push for the Wild Card and the Nuggets are focusing on retaining the #2 spot in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets continue their push to be first in the west! With 21 games left there is still a lot that can happen. The Avalanche dominated the Predators and were in a wildcard spot…for about a day. They need to put together a string of victories to stay in the fight. And the Rockies have made some exciting moves during this first week of Spring Training!
We’re back with a new podcast Colorado Sports Fans! The Nuggets are  also back after the All-Star Break and handed the Mavs an L last night. After an awful couple months the Avalanche have put together 3 consecutive wins. They’ll face a huge test today vs the Predators. The CO Rockies play the D-Backs today to kick off spring training and it looks like Flacco will be the new Broncos QB.
New podcast Colorado Sports Fans! The Nuggets continue to play solid basketball as the All-Star break approaches. The Avalanche’s struggles continued over the last 3 games, so here is hoping their 9-days off brings about a rejuvenated team when they face the Canucks on February 2nd.
New podcast Colorado Sports Fans! The Nuggets suffered a rough loss to the Warriors, but quickly got back to their winning ways against the Bulls. Tonight they face the Cavaliers at home. The Avalanche only managed to win one game during their road trip. They have three games at home before a nine day break and really need to bring home a couple Ws over the coming week.
New podcast Colorado Sports Fans! The Nuggets are on a home winning streak and continue to sit on top of the Western Conference. 5280FM is excited to attend the Blazers game Sunday! The Avalanche have been on the road in Canada where goaltending woes persist. Given the Avs are in wildcard limbo there may be trade options to consider. Vic Fangio is the Denver Broncos new head coach and we’re interested to see the impact he has on the team, specifically on the defensive side of the ball.
New podcast Colorado sports fans! The Broncos’ season is done, but four Broncos legends are finalists for the next Hall of Fame class. The Denver Nuggets are ON FIRE and if you haven’t been paying attention you should be. They are the hottest team in Colorado and Jamal Murray is one to watch! The Avalanche are in a slump, to say the least, but they beat the Rangers and hopefully they can build on the momentum through their 5 game road trip to Canada.
New podcast Broncos Country! The final game of the season approaches and for the first time since 1972 the Denver Broncos have back-to-back losing seasons. With many notable players facing free agency, the team is sure to look a lot different next season. Who will be the head coach? Will Case Keenum still be the starting QB? What does the future look like for the Denver Broncos?
New podcast Broncos Country! Any hopes of making the playoffs have been thwarted after back-to-back losses to the 49ers and Browns. On Christmas Eve the Broncos face the Raiders and have to win to keep hope alive of ending the season 8-8. In exciting news, Von Miller and Phillip Lindsay will be heading to Orlando for the 2018 Pro-Bowl, the Broncos organization came together to support Shield 616, and Von Miller has been named the nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year.
New podcast Broncos Country! The loss against the 49ers was atrocious. In a must win situation the Broncos failed to show up and compete. And now Baker Mayfield and the Browns are coming to play on Saturday night in Mile High. Let’s see if the Broncos can get their heads on straight and make it a game worth watching.
New podcast Avalanche fans! The Avs have won 8 of their last 11 games and will play at home at The Pepsi Center for 5 of the next 6. Yesterday’s 1-7 loss to the Lighting was brutal, but we’re still tied for first in the Central Division since the Nashville Predators fell to the Calgary Flames. With 30 games played so far this season there is still a ton of Avalanche Hockey to come!
