Its Monday 16th September 2025 and in today's show we discuss yet another defensive horror show as we come away pointless from Saturday's trip to Sixfields, a result which sees us fall to second bottom of the table, already eleven points off the play-offs and thirteen off automatic promotion. It can’t get any worse, can it?Northampton 1 - Blackpool 0Talking pointsNo clean sheet in 14 matches - Why cant Steve Bruce sort out the defence when he was a defender himself - has he lost the dressing room? Is he spending enough time at the training ground? (lowest XG and high XGa suggest it’s not simply ‘the defence’ but the entire system)Why is Horsfall not starting and Ihekwei is?Why haven't we signed a left footed centre half? Why isnt Zac Ashworth, a specialist LB playing at LBWhy is Albie Morgan playing on the LW? (also Honeyman in previous games)Why do all other team appear fitter than us? (lowest tackles made in entire league suggests lack of ‘fight’) Bruce in or out? It’s Monday 18th August 2025 and in today show we just about catch our breath to recall Saturdays humdinger of a roses clash at a cauldroness Bloomfield Road as ten man Blackpool overcame Huddersfield to record our first win and points of the campaign which gets our season finally up and running with a bang. Shocking defending and nice little wave from Ennis to Hudds fansSuperb one touch interplay between four players, smart layoff from Fletcher and Evans piledriver to finish it, was he unburdened by the captaincy? Schoolboy error from ihekweo not playing to the whistle and closing down the cross. Pitiful defending from CJ allowing the ball through to Gooch who slammed home. Brett blaming BPF on Radio which I thought was harshEnnis sending off - thoughts? Elliot Bell-End couldn’t wait to get his red out. It’s Wednesday 13th August 2025 and in today's show we discuss not just a comedy of errors, but a full blown theatrical performance as Blackpool crashed to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at Exeter, a performance which Steve Bruce described as the worst at his time at the club.We also review yesterday’s equally insipid Carabao Cup first round exit as ‘Pool made it three defeats in three losing 1-0 against Port Vale to Bloomfield Road. And we look ahead to Saturday's war of the roses as Blackpool host promotion favorites Huddersfield Town in what is sure to be a stern test for the floundering Seasiders. It can't get any worse, can it?! Exeter 4 - Blackpool 1Starting XINo Dale TaylorFirst Half 5 - Quick throw, no one reacted.
