This episode includes: (a baffling intermittent echo) Newcastle Fan Tribute to Christian Atsu What's Going to Happen to Manchester City Bill's remembrance of being at SJP for Eddie Howe's first win there Mohamed Diame Bournemouth match highlights Kevin's interview with Michigan-based Toon Fan Tom Shearer
We're getting to know Newcastle United fans from all over the USA!  This week's conversation is with Tom Shearer from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bet you can't guess how he decided to support the Toon? "Literally all of my Newcastle United experience was when they were under Mike Ashley. Talk about suffering!"
Newcastle Superfan Courtney Marasigan joins us for a chat. West Ham Superfan Lee joins us for a less scheduled chat.  Bill and Kevin try to put the Liverpool loss in perspective, and get ready for what should be an incredible Carabao Cup final. Also, a sad farewell and tribute to Christian Atsu.
Bill Interviews Courtney Marasigan -- a Toon fan from South Florida as she recounts winning FanFest and her amazing rendition of the Dan Burn dance.
We are joined --- juuuuuuuust off microphone, so really good recording choice there, KEVIN -- by our pal Andrew Hargreaves, who helps us put a bow on what was in the main a wonderful Carabao Cup run for Newcastle United and a taste of what is to come. As almost always, live from the Hawk & Griffin in Vienna, Virginia.
This week Bill, Kevin and Andrew discuss yet another 2-0 shoulda coulda Newcastle loss, Bill apparently thinks that Simon Jordan sucks, and Kevin debates internally whether we should be really mad or really happy, and actually comes up with a reasonable answer.
Bill Mann chats it up with SoCalGeordie about his best friend Alan Shearer, the San Diego Toon Army, how he fell in love with Newcastle United and the Bobby Robson Foundation.
Kevin takes his life into his own hands to record this podcast. We review the Wolverhampton match, reveal our favorite players on our least favorite clubs, and kind of name our ideal Newcastle United lineup.  Also we have Boddington's on draft.
This week Kevin interviews Kevin Johnson from Spotsylvania, VA for some hot Kevin on Kevin action as he talks about starting to follow Newcastle just to spite a Mackem friend, of his massive jersey collection, and how Kevin Johnson manages to get onto PL in the Morning so much. (Hint: include babies.)
Kevin has lots to say about Alexander Isak's goal celebrations, starting with the fact that he is very happy that there were two of them. Also why VAR should be renamed VARWTF. A big win for the Toon puts them right back in the hunt for Champions League places.  Also a great win for a Geordie lad in the NCAA tournament.
Kevin needs to apologize for forgetting that Jamal Lewis had international duty with Northern Ireland. Bill's son Lucas describes the feeling from his first time at St. James' Park The lads discuss the inevitable conflict between local and international fans. Kevin predicts the results for matches for Newcastle and all of the clubs around it jockeying for Champions League Places. Chelsea was not included, for obvious reasons.  Also a few words about that Premier League powerhouse club, Liverton.
Kevin joins from Japan and Bill joins from his back yard (shout out to the birds and trucks and dog!) Newcastle United obliterates Manchester United. The game we've been waiting for a long time. We discuss all facets of the match, including whether Erik ten Hag is right about Newcastle playing above its station.
Is refereeing in the Premier League corrupt? Who were the players of the game for West Ham & Brentford? Newcastle United survives a supreme test of a week, following up its big win against Manchester United with two wins away at a banana peel West Ham and a truly imperious Brentford.
When organizing your closet is the highlight on a match day, you can pretty much guarantee that the match did not go well. Bill, Kevin & Barry review the Aston Villa match and then put it all in perspective as we had a let down against a very good team on the back of a very good week. We review the state of things, with Newcastle United remaining in the driver's seat for Champions League places. Also we talk about the huge summer Premier League USA summer tour involving the Toon. Brentford, Fulham, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brighton.
6-1. Tottenham Hotspur, formerly a great club, had never, ever before given up 5 goals in a half. This game was so lopsided that we don't even mention Sean Longstaff's fantastic assist because it was the game's fourth best.  Bill watched the match with Arsenal fans, who kept screaming "SCORE 7!!" so we ponder our chances for Champions League as well as the team we love to see lose the most. Kevin prepares to head over to the Toon.
Kevin and "roving reporter" Andrew Hargreaves give a boozy and barely coherent report from their trip to the Toon as we recount Sunday's nervy match against Southampton and Newcastle's campaign for European places.
