Welcome to Season 4 of Nacho Fitness Coach! In our premiere episode, Caleigh kicks things off by assuring everyone (herself?) that she’s totally fine (she’s not) and she totally doesn’t need therapy (she does). The girls discuss their upcoming marathon—okay, it’s a half marathon—okay—it’s a HALF OF A HALF marathon! But they’re both sure they’re going to crush it! Then, Sara shares her oddly specific fear of being stranded on the toilet in her old age, sparking a conversation about the importance of maintaining lower body strength and mobility. She uncovers a fascinating social media post outlining the leading cause of assisted living admissions and tips to preserve independence. Spoiler alert: it’s all about keeping those legs strong!Credit for the post we discussed in this episode: instagram.com/trainbloom/You can find the IG Reel discussed in this episode here: instagram.com/p/C3k1ygNRhtL/We want to hear your thoughts on this weeks episode!Connect with us on social media!Instagram, TikTok, Threads, & Youtube: @nachofitnesscoachFacebook and X (Twitter): @nachofitcoachWebsite: www.nachofitnesscoach.comThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. Caleigh and Sara are busting out the calipers again this season to see what changes (if any) they’ve made to their body composition. We discuss the impact of nutrition, exercise, and daily activity on our results, and the importance of balance and consistency. Caleigh is still hoping for visible abs, despite her trash diet. And Sara proves that a consistently active lifestyle (including lugging around a 40lb toddler) can have a huge impact on body composition, regardless of gym attendance. We also check in with producer Audio Allen, who shares his experience and the changes he’s made towards a healthier lifestyle. If nobody else listens to this podcast, at least we know Allen has been taking note! One thing about Sara: she doesn’t spend a ton of time on social media (and also, she ran a marathon once). But even she couldn't resist the allure of a certain fitness influencer's 'Myths vs. Reality' post. Cue Caleigh's confusion. Where's the meticulously curated grid? The trending tunes? The obligatory shirtless mirror selfies? Not in this corner of the internet. No frills, just straight talk, like a no-nonsense coach cutting through the BS. So, should you hit that follow button? Eh, he probably won't even notice, too busy keeping it real. And since our topic well ran dry this week, we've got Caleigh indulging in 'Disappointing Affirmations'. Because sometimes, a little laughter is the best medicine for when you feel a little bit dead inside.Check out Lyle McDonald's Instagram: www.instagram.com/mcdonaldlyleWe want to hear your thoughts on this weeks episode!Connect with us on social media!Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, & Youtube: @nachofitnesscoachX (Twitter): @nachofitcoachWebsite: www.nachofitnesscoach.comThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. Welcome back to Nacho Fitness Coach, the podcast where Caleigh and Sara dive into the depths of fitness wisdom... and occasionally plunge into the internet for content inspiration. This week, Caleigh enlightens us with a discovery of a viral sensation known as “The Chickle” - a snack so absurdly brilliant it defies categorization. Meanwhile, we uncover the shocking truth that Sara has managed to evade the fiery allure of Flaming Hot Cheetos, citing a dislike for both spice and, apparently, fun. Oh, and we almost forgot to mention our grand athletic endeavor of last year: a joint 5k run, where we barely finished before a teenage boy and an old man. And we answer the question: how many fitness podcasters does it take to Google what an Ironman is? (Spoiler: it's not Tony Stark, unfortunately). We want to hear your thoughts on this weeks episode!Connect with us on social media!Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, & Youtube: @nachofitnesscoachX (Twitter): @nachofitcoachWebsite: www.nachofitnesscoach.comThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. Caleigh's quest for the perfect workout continues! She's trading the gym for the comfort of her own home... gym. As the proud new owner of a shiny set of adjustable dumbbells, she thinks she's found a fantastic online workout that ticks all the boxes: free, easy to access, simple (not "easy"), and something she's been able to stay consistent with. But will this online workout earn Sara's expert approval? Join us as we discuss how this online video series seems to be working for Caleigh, what Sara thinks of it, and how sometimes, even a free YouTube workout can make the difference between doing nothing and doing something. You can find Caroline Girvan's YouTube workouts at:www.youtube.com/@CarolineGirvan(Caroline Girvan is not affiliated with or Nacho Fitness Coach)We want to hear your thoughts on this weeks episode!Connect with us on social media!Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, & Youtube: @nachofitnesscoachX (Twitter): @nachofitcoachWebsite: www.nachofitnesscoach.comThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. Coach Jason Curtis joins Caleigh and Sara all the way from the UK! Coach Curtis is a bestselling author of 20+ books, gym owner, strength and conditioning coach, ex-Army physical training instructor, and founder of the Deadly Dozen Race. The timing of this chat couldn’t be better, as we’re discussing how some of the most tenacious people in the gym are the ones you’d least expect. Coach Curtis is passionate about making workouts simple, though “simple” doesn’t mean “easy”. He also tells about the “Deadly Dozen Race” he’s created and uses words like “horrendous” to describe it. Caleigh and Sara are both terrified and intrigued. We're middle-aged moms; of course we're spending hours lifting in the gym only to dress like Adam Sandler in our everyday lives. And we know we're not the only ones, so we want to talk about it. Does spending time or money on improving things about your body mean you owe it to the world to dress accordingly? Do you owe it to yourself? Caleigh and Sara discuss why they dress the way they do and the correlation between appearance and mental health. It may have been a funny meme that inspired this topic, but is there a deeper discussion to be had about taking pride in your physique vs. how you dress it?We want to hear your thoughts on this weeks episode!Connect with us on social media!Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, & Youtube: @nachofitnesscoachX (Twitter): @nachofitcoachWebsite: www.nachofitnesscoach.comThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. We're halfway through Season 3, which means it's time for a Bonus Episode! Hammer curls, barbell curls, cable curls, concentration curls. We’re not talking about any of those things! As a matter of fact, this episode has nothing to do with fitness at all. Yet, it might be our most heated debate thus far. Caleigh and Sara go head-to-head as they lay out their curly hair care routines. Who knows more about curly hair? Who’s doing it better? Who might have head fungus? It’s a fierce debate between two curly girls, and the Curly Crown goes to an unexpected contestant (Spoiler: it's Audio Allen). The good news is, if you have too much, you can lose some. We hear a lot about the effects of having too much body fat, but what are some things you'll notice as side effects of having low body fat? We’re covering a heavy topic this week: we’re talking about progressive overload! What does that mean? It means lifting heavy stuff until you can lift heavier stuff. That’s probably not the technical definition, but no worries—Sara does the heavy lifting in this episode, and you all get to learn right along with Caleigh!
