What stands in your way of seeking help in whatever area you’re not doing well in? In this episode we do a self introspection of what it is that delays us and pride being number one.
This month of May we’re looking into aligning ourselves and getting help from people who are experienced, professionals and relevant for where and who we want to become.
What area are you gifted in, are you utilising the talents and the gifts you have? If not why? This short segment is to have us work on our God given gifts no walk in purpose to live impactful and purpose filled lives.
Purpose is always somehow aligned with the area you’re gifted in. Because of life’s demands some of the dreams ,visions and purposes that we need to carry out have been parked and placed on hold because of our needs. You dreamt it because you’re capable of it. In this episode we dive into the necessity of taking steps towards those goals and dreams despite life’s circumstances and demands , Fulfilling your dream is a demand too that you need to attend to.
We all have individuals we hold in high regard , who root and are for us, we value their opinions, wisdom and guidance. These are people we know and think twice before doing anything that might disappoint or come across as though we don’t value them, our families, mentors etc. It is important to note however that not everyone you know should be assigned a role in your journey to become a better version of yourself and this will aid you make decisions that are good and are for your betterment without thinking of individuals who don’t even need to have an opinion over your well-being, affairs and destiny. So before doing anything ask yourself Who are you doing it for? Check your motives and your reasoning
One of the many and most important rights that we have is the right to vote. Complaisance and shifting blame of why many things in our communities remain the same or become worse does not change anything nor does not voting help. So many factors affect the way we view life and impact our actions throughout life. Yes a simple X on a ballot will not change things overnight nor is it guaranteed to do anything,but with what you have (knowledge, ability or experience) what are you doing to impact your community, area to become a better place without shifting the responsibility to be entirely the governments?
Great leadership guarantees success of any business, country, community etc.
“Not everyone is a leader” this is a statement that might not be entirely true, as we all are leaders of our own lives. Greatest leadership includes humility and selflessness and both these require discipline and understanding how important it is to take care of what you have been entrusted with, with due diligence. In this episode we touch on human rights, governance,leadership and the role each and every person has in their community. Instead of shifting blame, having an entitlement mentality , let’s have a dive into these aspects through the lens of faith.
In this episode we touch a little bit into the root cause of how humanity is as it is today. What principles do you apply when it comes to relating to your society , your community. Do you treat the next person in a manner you would like to be treated?
Humanity- Being kind and gentle with the next person not because we assume that they might be having a bad experience in life. We find ourselves daily shocked and devastated with the news all around us about humans being unkind to one another,killing and corruption. All these stem out from forsaking acts of humanity such as respect, helpfulness and considerate of other individuals. When these principles require forsaken and not instilled we will constantly find ourselves in society, work environment and countries that have no peace, with neighbours we cannot gain nor depend on for help and being led by self-centred, and corrupt individuals, with no compassion and humanity.
One of the places that individuals spend most of their time in is the workplace and it is important to know and navigate through your workplace with wisdom and caution . Knowing how to put it the effort and allowing your work ethic gain you trust from your superiors. It is not everyone that seeks to stay and reach for the stars where you’re at, your association determines where you end up in your career.
We all have lessons we are great full for and perhaps when these were given we didn’t see them nor recognise that they would come in handy in our adult age. In this episode we touch on family and how to approach some of the matters that might affect our relationships with family.
Our past relationships have the ability to cloud our future and that is reason enough to not approach romantic relationships without intentionality, as these have the ability to make one a better or a bitter partner. This segment is an appetiser to a broad topic about romantic partners and how or rather why we find it hard to settle with one individual at the age we consider “the prime” .
This February we look into the Urge of wanting to belong, what are you doing in order to fit in? Are you choosing the right circle to belong to. It is easy to conform because you want to be socially accepted, but is it for a good purpose?
Taking life for granted can be in a form of postponing things and pushing things to the last minute. The illusion that tomorrow is guaranteed has us procrastinating and storing things on shelves such that we forget about them. How many people are we impacting negatively by not sharing those life changing stories in books, How many lives are at a stand still simply because we won’t pitch for those purpose linked projects? What makes one think they have all the time in the world?
In this weeks episode of Life Through the lens of Faith we discuss the importance of setting realistic goals for yourself and keeping your Why in front of you as motivation to keep being consistent and staying on the path to achieving your goals and dreams. Take charge of your own life and be your own architect. This 2023 spend more time on your drawing board to track progress and do self audit so that you do not become your own enemy of progress.
In what direction are you headed? In this episode we discuss the importance of reviewing yourself and doing a life audit to find out the working strategies towards one achieving their goals. What steps are you taking? Are you consistent? Are you disciplined? We do not want to review ourselves the next-year and find ourselves in the same spot , simply because we overlooked the crucial parts of achieving our goals which is casting down the vision and making our plans as realistic as they can be .
