WES BRYANT


Charlotte native Wes Bryant comes to WFNZ as a host, producer, editor, and voice-over artist for the ACC Digital Network in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He was previously the host for ACC Digital Network’s Kickoff Live, a college football pregame show and Wes Got Range, a lifestyle show on which Wes explored and visited locally owned restaurants in Charlotte and interviewed local area athletes. 


Wes was hired for the 2021-2022 season as a pre and post-game co-host for Charlotte Hornets broadcast on Bally Sports South. 


In addition to his work at the ACC Digital Network, Wes is a regular contributor on Charlotte Sports Live on Fox 46 Charlotte, where he discusses and breaks down all the action in the NBA, NFL, NASCAR, and across NCAA basketball and football. 


He began his career in 2013 as a beat writer for the Charlotte 49ers of the C-USA Conference for Rivals.com.  Wes was previously a reporter and producer for The Melanie Clark Show on Radio One.  In 2007, Wes was an intern at WBTV, Channel 3, in Charlotte.


Wes is a former offensive lineman, and three-year letterman for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, graduated from the university in 2006.  He was a High School All-American football player at Vance High School in Charlotte.


 


WALKER MEHL


Walker grew up in Claremont, NC and played basketball at Bunker Hill High School. He then took his talents to UNC-Charlotte where he graduated in 2015.  Walker then started his broadcasting career in the Charlotte market the following year. Along with his start in radio, Walker began hosting the Locked On Hornets podcast in 2018 where his passion for the Hornets and the other local sports teams is apparent.  Prior to joining WFNZ as a full-time host, Walker has worked on the station in a number of different shows.


Growing up in and around the Queen City, Walker is a life-long fan and observer of the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Hornets and the University of North Carolina.   Walker loves the outdoors, going out and spending time in Uptown and loves music as much as he loves sports.
