As a lacrosse fan, this is, unequivocally, the best week of the year. Conference tournament time gives a fantastic slate of competitive teams all trying to earn a chance to fight for at a national championship. In this first part, we cover the ASUN and Patriot Quarterfinals on Tuesday, and remaining semifinal games on Thursday and Friday. We'll be back Saturday morning with picks for all conference championship games!
Two conferences commence their postseasons this weekend as the rest of the country closes out the regular season. There are several teams still alive for a few spots. A victory this weekend could be all the difference between playing in May or watching from the couch. We've got you covered for it all.
As we near the end of conference play, there are several key tiebreakers in a few conferences, notably a 6 way tie for first in the Patriot, and a jungle of teams vying for postseason spots in the America East, CAA, Ivy, and MAAC. A quirky and strange season continues to produce unexpected outcomes and inconsistent performances that makes the task of picking an increasingly difficult exercise. Nonetheless, we're back as always in hopes that Week 6 returns us to some semblance of expected outcomes, though we know we'll continue to be surprised!
