40 For 40: Transformers: The Movie premiers on March 31st, and to celebrate it, we’re looking back on some of the most unforgettable episodes of the Mike Seibert Radio Podcast, featuring my favorite topic - talking about Transformers: The Movie with my friends! On March 31st, we premiere 40 for 40: Transformers: The Movie, celebrating the landmark anniversary of that iconic film - and to commemorate the occasion, we’re looking back on some of my favorite episodes of the podcast that exemplify my love and passion for this movie. But this episode carries more weight than usual.Stan Chou, known in the fandom as “ArtistStan”, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 49. He had been active in the Transformers fan community since 2019. He’s probably most well known for animating deleted scenes, based on storyboards from Transformers the Movie, as well as leading a fan campaign to petition for an extended cut of the 86 movie. But a year before he even launched that project, Stan joined me for one of my very first live streams to talk about his art, life, and of course, The Transformers: The Movie. So today, we’re going back to July of 2020 and my interview with ArtistStan. There is still an active go fund me to Help Support ArtistStan's family in their time of loss. If you’re able, please consider donating. You can also check out his videos on YouTube, including his 4 year journey reviving lost scenes from Transformers: The Movie, as well as enjoying his artwork on his social media platforms:FacebookInstagramX (Twitter)TikTokYouTubeWant to be a guest on Mike Seibert Radio? On March 31st, it’s the debut of 40 For 40, and we’re having some fun looking back at older episodes of the podcast where I take the opportunity to really get into why Transformers: The Movie is so important to me.One of my greatest joys in hosting the Mike Seibert Radio Podcast is having the opportunity to connect with some of the amazing, talented folks who brought this incredible movie to live.Today, we’re going back to July of 2020 and my interview with Flint Dille, story consultant on Transformers: The Movie. But that’s hardly the extent of his credits - in fact, he wrote a book about it, THE GAMESMASTER, Almost Famous in the Geek 80s - My Life In The '80s Geek Culture Trenches with G.I. Joe, Dungeons & Dragons, and The Transformers.Want to be a guest on Mike Seibert Radio? March 31st marks the premiere of 40 for 40 - our epic celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie! 40 weeks, 40 moments, 40 episodes – possibly 40 minutes each, but no promises. We’re marking the occasion by looking back at some great episodes featuring my favorite conversations I’ve had about this movie and why it’s so fundamental to me.Today, we’re going back to April of 2018 and The Autopod Decepticast. In this episode, you’ll meet Aaron, Ryan, and Caleb - lifelong friends who decided to start a podcast. But not just your average white guys talking in a basement podcast, no. These guys decided to talk about The Transformers: The Movie, one minute at a time. It’s still one of the most ambitious podcasting projects I’ve heard of, and discovering their show radically altered the trajectory of the type of content I would create from that point onward to today.
