Christmas holds great significance for people across the globe. And for over 10 years, Treetime Christmas Creations has been setting the standard for what people want when decorating for the holiday season. But before Santa comes to town, Treetime is partnering with the American Cancer Society during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month to raise money for the more than two-hundred seventy-six thousand women and men who were diagnosed with breast cancer this year. After receiving an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) in January of 2000, Sara Meslow learned of a camp in California for children with heart disease and decided to volunteer. When she discovered that there wasn’t a similar camp in the Midwest, she helped start what we know today as Camp Odayin. Camp Odayin’s mission is to provide a fun, safe and supportive camp experience and community building opportunities for young people with heart disease and their families.
