'That's what happens when you listen to your daddy all the time' - FerThis is a largely inconsequential episode, recorded a few days after the US Open and released even later (Rob left his laptop charger at work). We debate some things, and ramble about others. Briefly we do talk about the US Open finals, but if you want proper analysis maybe give this one a miss. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week we catch-up after the summer, having a brief discussion about the finals at Wimbledon where Jannik Sinner made up for the difficult loss in Roland Garros to Carlos Alcaraz. Then we move onto some of the tournaments in the US swing, particularly noting Naomi Osaka's run to the final in Canada. In true Unseeded style we do get lost on some random tangents, and of course there is a customary discussion about some of the kits for this years US Open. Hosted by Rob and Fer. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode we talk about the latter stages of this year's championships at Roland Garros, covering both the Men's and Women's singles events. We do also admittedly go of on some random tangents throughout as when we recorded this we hadn't actually spoken since our last episode. I could've cut a lot of that out but that would have complicated the edit lol...Hosted by Rob and Fer. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The podcast is back...We discuss the the form of the latest players and their fashion. Listen pls...Presented by Fer and Rob.Edited by Rob. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This is the first episode that we have recorded from two separate continents, in this episode we have the hosts Fer and Rob talk about their favourite tennis outfits through the years and what they believe makes the best outfits. We also look at which is the best manufacturer right now.DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded a couple of months back and was delayed to to difficulties fitting the edit around work, I've tried to remove any out-of-date tennis news as the episode is mostly about tennis fashion. Apologies if any references to the season just prior to Indian Wells remains. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Rob and Fer are back to wrap-up the 2024 edition of the Australian Open, where we saw Aryna Sabalenka successfully defend her title in flawless fashion and Jannik Sinner become the first Italian to lift the AO title. We discuss some other significant matches of the tournament, and the performance of a few other players. And in usual Unseeded fashion, there are a number of tangents that we go down.Hosted by Rob and Fer. Edited By Rob. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In our first ever episode containing all three of us hosts, we are previewing the AO singles events whilst looking ahead to our own predictions. We also have a chat about the latest series of Break Point. As a warning we go off on various tangents throughout but they had some entertainment value we hope.Hosted by Deniz, Fer and Rob.Edited by Rob. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
And we are back...We return with Deniz and Rob taking a brief look back at the 2023 tennis season, noting some of their personal highs and lows. We then move forward by making some pretty bold predictions for the 2024 season. No surprise that Rob is once again backing Zheng Qinwen for greatness. We'll be back for a more substantive preview of the 2024 season, hopefully with all three of us on the pod.The hosts of this episode were Deniz and Robert (also the editor). We have another host, Fer, but she is still on holiday. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode I (Rob) record an episode by myself. In this lonely episode I preview Wimbledon by detailing the top seeds, and a few other bit of relevant info. I then give my thoughts on who I think could go an and win. I then also cover some recent tennis stories, including one retirement and one unretirement. Hosted on Acast. This week we obviously look back at the finals weekend of Roland Garros, we also have some discussion of the semi-finals that took place prior. There is also discussion of some of the differences between Roland-Garros and Wimbledon. This episode also marks a sad end to an era of this podcast as this is Fer's last week as a regular host, she will be back in the future but is sadly unable to commit enough time to the podcast and tennis in general. I'm sure we're all sad about this, and will all be delighted when she returns for guest appearances. And yes, I am aware of the out of sync audio at times. I tried my best to fix this. But alas, it would not be a podcast hosted by Rob and Fer if there weren't some issues due to poor internet connection. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This is the last one of our daily episodes from Roland Garros, this is down to us sadly having to go back to our real lives. This episode we cover the last matches of the fourth round on Chatrier and briefly discuss the dramatic events that unfolded on Lenglen on the same day. We also have a returning host, with Fer being back on the pod.We also briefly look ahead at the quarter finals. We will be back next week in our regular slot, where we will draw a conclusion to the French Open. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This episode one of us had only been to one match, Rob had gone to the night session match between Sloane Stephens and Aryna Sabalenka. We review that match and then go on to highlight what else had happened on Roland-Garros on day 8 of the tournament, We briefly looked ahead the action on day 9, and had a brief discussion of the default of Miyu Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi in the women's doubles. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We discuss the action on day day 7, with lengthy discussions on Gauff's forehand and also a conversation about the Roland-Garros night session. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This episode was slightly less challenging than the last. On day 6 of Roland-Garros we were situated on Court Simone-Matthieu, the third court of the French Open, it was a rather long day on that court with the last match finishing gone 10pm French time. We watched two very competitive matches, Kokkinakis v. Khachanov and Blinkova v. Svitolina, and two not so competitive matches, Norrie v. Musetti and Muchova v. Begu.As well as Rob discovering that after finally seeing Muchova in person, that she is now his favourite player, we also preview the day 7 action where Rob is gonna be based on Court Suzanne-Lenglen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
If you're reading this it means that somehow this episode has been published. This episode is in two parts where we have a normal episode covering day 4 (which is delayed because the original edited episode deleted itself) and a Rob monologue, very briefly, covering day 5 of Roland Garros (this was the second recording as the original recording of Rob and Deniz would not export). We cover a variety of topics over this episode, notably how terrible our predictions have been and Rob's newfound support for Camila Osorio. Rob also briefly discusses the success Mirra Andreeva. Next episode we'll be talking about Friday's action on Court Simone Matthieu, where we'll see the like of Norrie, Khachanov, Svitolina, and Muchova. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We had re-record this episode, as the first attempt was not actually recorded. Rob forgot to turn the mic on ffs. Anyway, we covered what we had seen at Roland Garros on the first Tuesday when both of us had tickets on Chatrier, plus we discuss Mirra Andreeva and the Andreescu/Azarenka clash. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This is our first episode reporting from Roland Garros, Rob was covering the outside courts on this first Monday of the tournament whist Deniz was located on Court Philippe Chatrier. We discuss the matches of Camila Osorio, Djokovic, Stan the man, and Caroline Garcia (among others). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week we have a return of our guest host, Deniz, as both him and Rob are in Paris for the first week of Roland Garros. In this episode, we debate our predictions plus preview the tournament to come, Deniz at one point becomes very smug about an expensive night session ticket he bought whilst waiting for the Eurostar and predicts big things for Sebastian Baez. Outdated Inequality

So this week's episode is once again delayed by a few days, for which I would like to apologise again. As a result some of our discussion about the tennis in Rome is slightly outdated, which in its own way is slightly topical for this weeks episode. We discuss the various inequalities in the sport, highlighting the different treatment and pay that is afforded to both the men's and women's players on the professional tour.As stated, there is some discussion about what happened early on in Rome but we thought it best to have the main focus of this episode about what is an important topic. And a topic which we, unfortunately, expect to come up again and again. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This week's episode was delayed for a number of reasons, and for that we do apologise. It was still recorded on the Monday night so some of it may be a little outdated. In this episode, we discuss the two singles finals in Madrid, plus Andy Murray's first title since 2019. We also look ahead to Rome, and make a couple of predictions for that.As a heads up, we may not be posting an episode next week. This is because Fer is potentially moving house next Monday, and we would not be able to find another time to record. Thank you for understanding, this is after all just a hobby of ours that we can only dedicate a certain amount of time towards. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
