If grace is your greatest weapon, wouldn’t it make sense for Satan to attack it first? In this episode, Jon Moffitt walks you through how the enemy shifts your focus from the sufficiency of Christ to moralism, fear, and performance. Many churches and podcasts today emphasize obedience over Jesus. That distortion is not harmless, it’s spiritual warfare. You are invited to consider how the gospel has been quietly replaced and why turning to Christ is essential for your assurance, growth, and hope. This is a call to rest in the gospel that truly saves and sustains. JON’S NEW BOOK: The Bible According to Jesus - How Jesus Teaches Us to Read the Scriptures JOIN THE THEOCAST COMMUNITY! Grace as Divine Power?

Grace as Divine Power?

Is grace just a nice word, or is it spiritual power? In this episode, Jon talks about re-enchanting grace. Restoring its true, supernatural weight. Paul didn’t use grace as a soft or passive term but as a force directly connected to Jesus Christ. Grace forgives, yes, but it also strengthens and empowers. Stay tuned for a fun and meaningful discussion that will deepen your appreciation for what grace really is. JOIN THE THEOCAST COMMUNITY! I appreciate your expressions on John's affirmation for those who believe but I do not hear you address the conviction that reminds us of our spiritual connection to the Father through the Holy Spirit. Also we can clearly see that Love from the father is not acceptance of our sins but rather a recognition of it so that we can be corrected, please explain what Love is.

I must say that the abuse of authority in these extreme case examples that the two of you speak on are clear abuse cases, but your implied acceptance of today's behavioral and belief systems results in the weakness of the authority of God's church in the world today.

I personally hold to OEC based on the Framework view. I completely agree that we must affirm the doctrine of Original Sin in a consistent way and for that reason, I do not support Theistic Evolution. I liked the fact that the even though the hosts of the show consider themselves to be YEC, they still acknowledge that you can have a different opinion on Creation. That's a serious advance when you compare it to the way that YEC ministries often treat OECs. However, the hosts should recognize that some pressuposionalists are OEC. Questioning the literal 24hrs-day interpretation is not something that is only determined by the apologetics school you are included. It's also a question of trying to be honest with the evidence and being humble enough to admit that maybe (just maybe) some interpretations were a product of tradition (and not the text itself). For a deeper discussion on this issue, I recommend the "Redeeming Science" book by Vern Poythress.
