This week on The Type Slay Podcast, we're reviewing The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins!
The Five Second Rule, introduced by motivational speaker and author Mel Robbins, is a self-help concept aimed at overcoming hesitation and taking immediate action. Based on the idea that our brains resist change and create self-doubt, the rule states that when faced with an impulse or decision, you have five seconds to count down and physically move or take action. By interrupting the habit loop and overriding your brain's resistance, the rule helps build confidence, create positive momentum, and initiate change in various areas of life. Mel Robbins has written a book called "The 5 Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage," providing practical strategies for applying the rule and achieving personal growth.
