What mental picture comes to mind when you hear "God the Father"? Is it perhaps a picture of someone stern with a big white beard? Maybe its someone strong but distant? Perhaps you even have contrasting pictures of God the Son and God the Father? Our mental images are revealing. But there's also an image of God the Father that comes through persistently in the Scriptures. And surprisingly this image is often very different to the way that many people think about God and fathers. Join us as we explore the significance of your heavenly paternal relationship and what it means for you.

If God is love then God is also jealous. There is a sinful type of jealousy that comes from insecurity or the desire to control. God's jealousy is different. Its a type of jealousy that rids us from idols. In this message we explore God's jealous love and how it makes us holy.

Many people grow up not being loved well. Even the best parents are imperfect and make mistakes. This leaves scars. But in the Bible we are told that "God is love". Incarnation means that God came in the flesh. In a world which loves promotion, God accepted a demotion and suffered. This says something about what God is like. It means that God gets you because He went through all that you've gone through. And it means that you are deeply loved!

How does a just God deal with sinful people in a gracious way? Some may say that God should just overlook evil behavior. But if a judge simply overlooked evil in a court victims would call that an injustice. On the other hand if God punished every evil act how would he be gracious and loving? In this message we focus on the goodness of God's justice but also the problem it presents. The God of the Bible has made a way to be both just and gracious through Jesus Christ. And this is amazing news!

Things change. Fashion. Weather. Language. Politics. Sometimes even the people we think we know end up changing. All this creates uncertainty. Whatever may change in your life, know that God never changes. And God's unchanging nature tells us what we need most, provides what we need most and ultimately changes us.
