On this week’s episode of Room 1208 with Mona Lisa, she welcomed her viewer back to her podcast after taking some time off to pursue other projects.  She got her viewers caught up on what she has been doing since she has been gone.  A new format of the podcast was reviled.  In this week’s episode Mona Lisa discussed a few posts from social media, she also shared her opinion on some current events topics on how the youth of the world is being led with no guidance and discipline.  As a new segment on her podcast, she posed two “what would you do questions. On this week’s episode of Room 1208, Mona and her guest Stacks dissected a post that was shared on social media from a young lady regarding the status of her relationship with a married man.  The woman in this post wanted to know if she would be making a foolish decision by giving her boyfriend money and aiding him in a lie to his wife that he has a part-time job just so he can spend more time with her.  Stacks and Mona had a difference of opinion on the matter; Mona thinks that the boyfriend is clearly taking advantage of the woman’s vulnerability and Stacks says she seems to like the position that she is in even though she is being used.  During the conversation Mona sought clarity from Stacks on the reaction from men when they hear the infamous phrase “we need to talk.” stacks opinion was that that phrase usually is followed by an emotional conversation. On this weeks episode of Room 1208 Mona Lisa sat down with her Aunt Kaleemah Abdul-Aziz.  The two discussed issues surrounding the demasculation of the male or manly role figure in the household.  There was an observation made that men have been dressing more more on the line of what would have been considered as feminine attire years ago.  Mona Lisa posed a question to Sister Kaleemah "how do you think children of today feel about their parents attire and how it may contribute to the lack of respect found in households today?"  The crime in the inter cities  among the youth is attributed to the lack of parenting or absent parenting in the home.  "All these kids need is for someone to talk to them, No one askes them how you feel what is going on with you, how are you feeling today," said Kaleemah.  Both Mona and Kaleemah agreed that there is a desperate need for the men of our communities to step up and try to reach the youth before it is too late.  Please come back next week for another exciting episode of Room 1208  with Mona Lisa; and as always remember to live, love and laugh.check me out on YouTube at Room1208 With Mona Lisa, Instagram mona_aka_mona_lisa

On this week’s episode of Room 1208, Mona had the privilege to interview Coach Chaz Franklin, a Philadelphia native turned International Basketball Star.   The coach shared his experience living overseas for 15 years in 11 countries within 4 continents.  After coaching in Iceland and taking his team to the finals twice he returned to the United States where he accepted an assistant coaching position for Millersville University Women's Basketball League.  Coach also shared with Mona's audience his passion to give back to the youth of his community.  He is currently involved with Big Hustle Athletics, a program that mentors the youth of Philadelphia and the vicinity.  As a South Philadelphia native, he expressed his love for hip hop and his respect for Beanie Sigel a legend in his own right who was a neighbor of his and even though he did not know him personally he admired Sigel and used his success story as inspiration to become successful in basketball.  This week's interview with Coach Chaz Franklin was very important to Mona Lisa because she was able to share with her listeners and viewers all the good work that is being done in her hometown through this coach, especially with his coaching clinic.  His coaching clinic coach’s youth from the age of 4yrs-college age. This week, on Room 1208 with Mona Lisa she shared with her listeners and viewers how she survived being in an abusive relationship with her first husband and the father to her 4 children for 13 years. She made the decision to speak on Domestic Abuse after hearing an official from a case of a woman that was on trial for killing her husband because of domestic abuse. While driving she was listening to a program and heard a gentleman say, “she did not have to kill her husband, she could have taken the kids and went to a neighbor or family members house.” Mona Lisa shared her struggles with trying to leave her abusive relationship without involving family members and friends. She extended a helping hand to her viewers that are currently living in an abusive relationship. She went on to ask her viewers and listeners to extend a helping hand to anyone that is crying out for help from an abusive relationship. This week on Room 1208 with Mona Lisa, Mona updated her listeners and viewers on what was going on with her last week. She stated that she was extremely busy and unable to record an episode last week. Mona updated the viewers also on her current health status and heart issues. Her pickle business has taken off, and she is so grateful for all the support and purchases made thus far. She then went on 2 discuss the challenges she is currently facing with losing weight and transitioning into another phase of her life. On this week’s episode of Room 1208, Mona Lisa was joined by her husband Stack and a close friend Marlon. They continued an off camera. conversation about “Gold Diggers.”  Mona wanted to know what their definition of a gold digger is.  Let me tell you, there was a definite difference of opinion.  Marlon and Stack both agreed that a “Gold Digger” is a woman that sets her sites on a man’s money for a financial come up.  Whereas Mona Lisa feels that it is merely a financial contribution in exchange for what she gives to him. Mona also believes that men seek out women with intentions just as well as women.  The conversation stemmed from a previous conversation regarding the late Anna Nicole Smith’s marriage to a much old man.  It was believed that she married him for his money as seen in a documentary on HLN Network, she stated that she did not want to marry her husband until she was financially established in her own right.  When Mona Lisa repeated this statement to her guest they quickly disagreed.  What was agreed on was that society has really changed the perception of what constitutes a meaningful relationship.  Further in the conversation Stack and Marlon had an interesting conversation about Fashion Nova and the style of clothing available for women.  Mona quickly brought the men back to reality; it was her opinion that it is what you search for based off a person’s personal style of dress.  In closing Mona Lisa thanked Marlon and Stack for joining her on another episode of Room 1208 and would like to have Marlon back for another episode soon.  You can best believe that, that episode will be just as exciting.  Until next time, remember to love, live, and laugh. check me out on YouTube at Room1208 With Mona Lisa, Instagram mona_aka_mona_lisa

On this week’s episode for Room 1208, Mona Lisa gave her audience an update on what happened at her appointment at the Cardiologist.  She asked for continued prayer as she prepares for an up-and-coming heart procedure.
