Description

Pigeonhole challenges the stereotypes that disabled people are all white, straight, middle class people in search of a cure for their bodies and minds the way mainstream media would make it seem. Made by disability community, and centering disabled audiences, Pigeonhole interrogates the assumptions and biases we hold about disability and embraces all parts of people's identities. We uplift disability culture, celebrate identity, and break out of the narrow pigeonholes people attempt to stuff us in. All episodes have downloadable and text transcripts at WhoAmIToStopIt.com.

Listen to this post: [The podcast audio is at the bottom of the page.] When you think about accessible housing, what comes to mind first? Listen to this post: (Podcast audio is at the bottom of the post.) Happy May Day, everyone. Listen to this post (the podcast is at the bottom): I found an old, scrappy video I made of Lavaun a decade ago. She was developing a project to do stories about colors. As an artist with low vision, she never stopped wondering about the best ways to bring a color description to life so […]

Listen to this post: Built-in accessibility in mainstream software is amazing. It’s nice to not have to purchase new apps or software if you don’t think you’re going to be using the feature long term. I’m writing this right now with Microsoft Word’s dictate feature! But there’s a darker side to this, or rather, Microsoft […]
