Thank you friends for catching the livestream on Facebook & Youtube - This podcast is less than 8 minutes and introduces my journey back to podcasting. I am a networker, mentor and story teller and use this great opportunity to network, mentor and tell stories. My wife Twyla and I have been married for 42 years and have 2 sons - Bobby and Josiah. Bobby tragically died in 2017 and it is a journey we continue to walk through. Josiah is an IT guy and a kind gentle soul. I continue to work in Southern Asia, leading Calcutta Mercy, an organization committed to feeding, educating, and medically assist the deserving of India. Twyla is a nurse working locally where we live in North Carolina. Thanks for all the encouragement, come on in and check this out.
Bob McGurty here - welcome to the Guided Life Plan podcast. In this podcast, I share about two summers I spent in the 1970's in New York City with my cousin Collette. At that time, Collette was married to Sandy Alexander, then the President of the New York Chapter of the Hell's Angels. In those two summers, I 'learned how to ride' a Harley, went to a speakeasy and met Bo Diddley, took a phone message from Frank Sinatra, and later went to a Grateful Dead concert backstage and met Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir and a singer there. I share some other interesting stories during that time.  Why pick these stories, tapestries of my life, what does it mean for me or for you? I have been a life coach for 7 years and see storytelling as a strategy to help you. I want to help guide you into your life plan, your life story. It is my hope that this story and others like it will help connect you with perspective to those areas that are important for you to succeed and be who you want to be in life. Every story shared has the goal of helping you in life, your life. Welcome, thanks for being here and feel free to leave public comments or to email any private comments or questions to me at Bengalibob@gmail.com
Bob McGurty here - welcome to the Guided Life Plan podcast. In this podcast, I share about depression from a personal, non-medical perspective. Depression can get the best of us or those around us and it is important to know what to do or how to help those that struggle. In the podcast I share 2 things to not do and 4 things to do. Why pick the topic of depression, what does it mean for me or for you? I have been a life coach for 7 years and see storytelling as a strategy to help you. I want to help guide you into your life plan, your life story. It is my hope that this story and others like it will help connect you with perspective to those areas that are important for you to succeed and be who you want to be in life. Bob McGurty here - welcome to the Guided Life Plan podcast. In this podcast, I share my story of how I was adopted at age 16 by my stepfather Tom Kent and took the last name Kent for 10 years of my life. It is the story of a mom who struggled with depression, an absent father, an an overzealous step dad who wanted my brother and I to take his last name. The story also includes a lawyer who never lost, a public defender who didn't win, and a judge with a dilemma.  Why tell this story, what does it mean for me? I have been a life coach for 7 years and see storytelling as a strategy to help you. I want to help guide you into your life plan, your life story. It is my hope that this story and others like it will help connect you with perspective to those areas that are important for you to succeed and be who you want to be in life.  Every story shared has the goal of helping you in life, your life. Hi - I am Bob McGurty and welcome to the Guided Life Plan podcast. In this podcast I introduce myself and the purpose of this podcast. I have been a life coach for nearly 7 years and see myself as a guide to help you with the many plans of your life. My goal as a coach is to help you get unstuck, clear the clutter and develop a plan for your life. I am a guide, nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else. It is your story, your life, your life plan. If this podcast succeeds, it will help you and connect you to those areas that are important for you to succeed and be who you want to be in life. I have coached people from 23 to 71 years old - it is never too late to improve and accomplish! Each episode will provide inspiration through story telling - sometimes my story, sometimes stories of others through guest speakers. Every story shared has the goal of helping you in life, your life. Again, welcome, and thanks for being here. Feel free to email any questions to bengalibob@gmail.com
