Description

Humans are all vastly different, the main thing we collectively share is our unique human experience and all it encompasses. Our journeys take us through twists and turns in life, unique in the sense that no journey is identical. At times we struggle. When we start to understand and respect another individuals existence and how they show up in the world, we start to move with more love for them and ourselves. These are the stories that make us when at a time we thought they might break us. These are our Resilience Diaries.

How does one transform adversity and pain into purpose and impact? Michael Chase quickly made a name for himself as a dynamic and inspiring speaker, traveling the country to deliver uplifting and thought-provoking perspective on the power of kindness and how it can transform individuals and communities. With humor, sincerity, and a wealth of personal anecdotes, Chase has won over audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Attendees are shown how one act of kindness can make a profound difference in someone's life and in turn, ripple out to touch the lives of countless others.  Born and raised in a small town just north of Boston, Michael Chase always had a passion for helping others and spreading positivity. This has never been more evident since April of 2013. Chase was only a few feet from the second blast during the terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon. Michael Chase evaded fatal physical harm but did not remain unscathed. He still struggles with the memories, images, and impact from the actions of a human with seemingly no humanity.  Michael champions kindness as a transformative force, relentlessly inspiring others to adopt this vital principle in their own lives.
Miranda is the founder and owner of Real Functional Healing. She has a clinical background and over 10 years of experience in functional medicine and nutrition. After working in various positions in the medical field, she realized there had to be a better approach. She was seeing a system of sick care, not healthcare. It was her own health issues that started the journey. Over the years, Miranda worked with naturopaths, nutritionists, and functional medicine doctors. She was diagnosed with MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, an immune reaction to gluten, and various food sensitivities. She dug deep into root causes of these issues, and learned to use food, lifestyle changes, and supplements to rebalance her body. The results were life changing, and Miranda knew she had found her calling. After graduating from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in 2012, Miranda went on to become a Restorative Wellness Solutions Certified Practitioner. She has completed additional functional medicine certifications in Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis; Mastering the Thyroid; and The Gluten, Leaky Gut, Autoimmune Connection. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer. Miranda is passionate about educating and empowering others to take control of their health! She continues to explore ways to further her own well-being through yoga, hiking, skiing, and cooking

For many, the word grief is often associated with death. While it's normal and natural to grieve the passing of a loved one, grief is not always exclusive to death. Grief is also about loss, and loss comes in many different forms. Some losses are easy to recognize, while others are harder to comprehend and understand. The loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship... You could grieve being an empty nester or grieve that you are with a partner of the opposite sex when you'd maybe prefer a partner of the same sex but societal norms have not caught up yet etc. Trudi Remer is a Life Beyond Grief Coach who helps those who’ve been through a major loss find themselves in the aftermath by getting clear on the answer to the question, ‘what do I do now?’. Trudi is skilled at holding space for people in grief so they can process their big feelings and move forward in their new identity. She is compassionate, curious and completely understanding. Her training and lived experience has set herself up to do this incredibly important work. Grief is taboo in most cultures and her mission to normalize the conversation on grief is really meaningful to Trudi.
