Welcome to eclipse season. Overthinking — also referred to as rumination — is when you repetitively dwell on the same thought or situation over and over to the point that it disrupts your life. Overthinking usually falls into two categories: ruminating about the past and worrying about the future. In today's meditation we will use a couple of tools to release over thinking. Affirmations are about possibilities.  The possibility for you to feel joyous, to feel empowered. “I am” affirmations are powerful because they make us think of the immediate present moment that re-shape our self-talk. These affirmations are about giving you the opportunity to listen to phrases that may never have been part of your self-talk, or rarely spoken to you.“I am” affirmations make us feel that what we are affirming can indeed be true for us in this moment.We all deserve to feel whole, to feel loved, and to feel protected.  We deserve to receive loving vibrations and have these vibrations in our lives and  living spaces. Be curious of how you respond to these words and be receptive with gentle self-kindness. In today’s meditation we are going to use mindfulness and visualization to embrace ourselves in a blanket of kindness and self compassion. With mindfulness, we recognize emotions as they arise, just noticing them for what they are, with acceptance rather than judgment. There is a deeper level to the anxiety some of us feel when we’re flying or when we’re in airports. Today’s meditation is for anxiety and panic attacks for these moments. Today’s intention is to decrease the stress before you travel, stopping the anxiety you experience in planes and in airports. You can use this meditation leading up to the day you travel, while you’re in the airport, and in the plane itself. It’s important to mention to be in a safe place listening to this meditation. Do not drive a car or be working with any type of machinery during this meditation. Do not do anything that requires your attention while doing this meditation. We will be going into a state of deep relaxation. Also do not walk while listening to this meditation as it can be unsafe.This meditation has elements of hypnosis in it. Human Design in a tool and system of how you work best out in the world and in your life. The practice of mindful walking and a profound impact on our body and helps us create a deeper connection to the earth. In today's meditation you can do this walking, in a labyrinth, or even walking back and forth in a room or hallway. Please also feel free to do this as a sitting meditation.
