Occasional Randomness

Jason and Eric wrap up their 5 year journey watching Farscape.  Jason for the first time, and Eric for his second time through.  We go all over the place reminiscing about the show.  What we thought about the show as a whole vs. other sci-fi shows during that time.  What we thought about the creatures and the Jim Henson Creature Shop.  What we thought about all our main characters we grew to love over the seasons.  And finally we talk about our Best and Worst episodes per season. Join us as we talk about our love for one of best, and one of the more unique, science fiction TV series of all time. Well, we've put it off as long as we could. Our recap and review of the end of televised Farscape begins with the first part of the two part Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars miniseries. For those of us watching when it originally premiered, this was 18 months after the cancellation of the series. We were eager to see the resolution to the cliffhanger ending of the series and how they would wrap up all the dangling plot threads and give our characters the send off they deserved. Part 1 is a 90 minute firehose of all that. They jammed as much plot and character moments as they could into it, and even find time to answer some of the questions from the main series. And then, of course as it's a 2 part miniseries, leave us on a cliffhanger for the exciting conclusion next time. Buckle up! On this "special presentation" of Occasioanl Randomess, Eric and Jason discuss the Disney+ Special Presentation of The Punisher: One Last Kill.  Or, as Jason put it, "How the Punisher Got His Groove Back."  What do you do when your vengeance, when your reason for going on, is over? That's what this John Bernthal written special addresses.  What does Frank Castle do now that everyone invovled in his familys' brutal murder is dead? Before he can answer that question though, he finds out that's not quite the case.  And then we have 15 minutes of the Punisher doing what he does best.  And then we try to figure out where this fits in the timeline and how it prepares us for Frank's appearance in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. Next time on the podcast, we finally get back to Farscape and start wrapping the whole series up with the first part of The Peacekeeper Wars mini-series.   Listen to our other episodes on our website -- https://occasionalrandomness.podbean.com/ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel -- https://www.youtube.com/@occasionalrandomness Follow us on X (Twitter) -- https://x.com/OccasionalRND Follow us on Bluesky -- https://bsky.app/profile/occasionalrnd.bsky.social Follow us on Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/occasionalrandomnesspodcast/

We wrap up season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again (episodes 7 and 8). Matt and Fisk have their final (?) confrontations, both as lawyer Matt who has shown up to defend Karen at her vigilante trial, and later as Daredevil. A main character these last 2 seasons has their shocking exit from the series. Heather's decent into becoming the next Muse continues. Bullseye gets to fulfill his desire to balance the scales and gets a new boss and a new job. And a few more cameos from the old Netflix Marvel shows pop up at the end, much to our delight. Paving the way for a Defenders reunion, hopefully, in season 3!   Next time on the podcast we'll discuss The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation on Disney Plus.
