The Prisoner is considered by many one of the most insightful and profound television series in entertainment history.Led by the writing, direction and acting of Patrick McGoohan, #ThePrisoner deeply and allegorically explored several themes including #individuality, government control, #surveillance, manipulation, rebellion, conformity, sense of self and personal resilience. The shows were intriguing and entertaining on several levels, thus we are looking back at this classic series on The Outhouse Lounge with:Jane Merrow -- Actress. She played Allison on "The Schizoid Man" episode of The Prisoner. In addition to her long list of credits, Jane is working on a new film titled "ANDY," focusing on Artificial IntelligenceTony Shaffer - Former Intelligence Officer/Special Ops, NY Times Best Selling Author and perhaps a Real Life Danger Man and Number SixDictor Von Doomcock - Noted Supervillain, Future Ruler of Earth who broadcasts from the Center of the Earth on his Youtube Channel:  @overlorddvdsbrother2063  https://www.youtube.com/@OverlordDVD During our Outhouse Lounge The Prisoner Session, we discuss several aspects of the series including: ·         Patrick McGoohan's acting prowess, his creation of the show·         Why did Number 6 resign? ·         Jane Merrow's experience working with McGoohan behind the scenes of "The Schizoid Man" episode ·         Jane Merrow's Alison character and a look into "The Schizoid Man" ·         Why Patrick McGoohan has called The Prisoner an Allegory ·         The creation of Rover and the unfortunate demise of the original one. ·         Underlying themes within The Prisoner ·         Who is Number 1? ·         What is The Village? ·         Information: The chess games between Number 6 and the Number 2s ·         Individuality and conformity ·         Thoughts about "Fall Out" and the series ending scenes.  We also talk about Jane's "ANDY" film and thoughts on the future benefits and dangers of #artificialintelligence. #AI  Check out our sponsor: https://www.getrxmedsnow.com Thank you for watching (or listening) -- what are your thoughts on The Prisoner?  Comment, share and spread the word.   Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OuthouseLounge Follow Chris on Twitter at @ChrisCordani1 Our website; outhouselounge.com
Remembering a 2016 song from Book of Love titled "All Girl Band," We at the Outhouse Lounge invited some of the great female rockers who influenced rock, punk and new wave artists of the future while they performed at a time those genres were men's clubs. Host Chris Cordani talks with a panel of ultra-cool and influential women from the music industry in the Lounge:Nancy Quatro Glass: Lead Singer, Co-Founder, Cradle; Managed several bands in the Rock worldNikki Corvette: Lead Singer, Founder, Nikki and the CorvettesDonna Destri: Solo Artist, New Wave Pioneer, former singer with BlondieCaron Maso Murray: Co-Lead and Co-Founder, The Little Girls(Apologies for the sound - there was a glitch which has since been handled) We talk about how these extremely talented ladies embarked into the normally male-dominated-at-the-time harder corners of their respective genres, who influenced them, how they were treated by male counterparts (the bad and the good), Today, looking at what's left of the rock and alternative music landscape and the long-believed thought of the entertainment industry being a "great equalizer," it might be hard to believe for younger fans there was a time male artists refused to share a stage or bill with women or when female artists were shoved in musical pigeon holes and not thought of as hard rockers. Perhaps if it were not for the likes of Cradle, Bertha, Fanny, The Pleasure Seekers, The Runaways, Suzi Quatro, Nancy, Nikki, Donna and Caron leading the way, we would have missed out on some spectacularly talented all-female solo artists and bands. Nikki, Donna, Caron and Nancy share their experiences, thoughts and discuss how differently (or not so differently in many ways) women are treated in the music business. Also joining us in the lounge are: Tony Shaffer - Host, The Hard Truth, former US Intelligence OfficerElizabeth Breckenkamp: Co-Host, Co-Producer, The Hard Truth Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OuthouseLoungeFollow Chris on Twitter at @ChrisCordani1Our website; outhouselounge.com

At times, many of us enjoy partaking in classic television from the earliest days to the turn of the century. It is, however, quite obvious many of the classic programs - had their premises been pitched today - would either never have been greenlit of would have been severely watered down to meet today's rather bland and easily-offended tastes. Television programming is an in-your-face example of the overall devolution of pop culture, filled with executives wither terrified of offending basement-dwelling angry social media posters with an attention-seeking haircut, fake glasses lots of cats and/or a basket of hot pockets piled up nest to their computers as well as people who seem to think they are on some sort of social "mission" in favor of quality. This probably will not change; we will most likely see a continued downward spiral led by the American entertainment industry. For this episode, We at the Outhouse Lounge have assembled a crack team of stellar Pop Culture commentators who remember when comedies were funny, dramas were intriguing, characters were compelling and cop shows featured more guts (and action) without worries over checking boxes and melting snowflakes.Joining host Chris Cordani in the Outhouse Lounge: Overlord Dicktor Van Doomcock: Supervillian and Pop Culture Commentator @OverlordDVD LTC Tony Shaffer: President, Project Sentinel,Famed Whistleblower and Commentator Susan Olsen: Actress, Former Radio Talk Host and CommentatorThank you for joining us. Marilyn Monroe's death was ruled a suicide, but many close to her say she was murdered. It has often been called the "Cousin Oliver Syndrome" -- television shows about families where producers and writers felt the overwhelming need to add another little kid to the family after the original youngest became, well, too old. While I kind of liked Cousin Oliver, he wasn't the first: remember the neighbor kid on the Partridge Family? Dodie on My Three Sons (and, technically, Ernie)? Soon, the practice became insufferable and the go-to strategy for lazy sit-come writers. We saw new little kids on Dif'rent Strokes, What's Happening, The Cosby Show as well as Married, With Children and new babies on Growing Pains, The Family Ties and even Modern Family. It didn't stop with sitcoms, cartoons did it too: Were you all not annoyed by Scrappy Doo? With me to rant about all of this are the good guys from Retro 80s podcast Dancing With Ourselves.
