In this episode, I talk about how perfectionism makes you sound LESS fluent in English, while—conversely—confidence makes you sound more fluent. I share a personal story from my language-learning journey to illustrate the point, and talk about how I've noticed this is true with my students.

Today, I'm talking about another very, very common English mistake that second-language ESL students make regarding the word "near."
Please email me if you have anything you want me to talk about or explain in a future episode: hello@meredithspielman.com
In this episode, I'll just quickly break down how to pronounce the word "strategy." If you want me to break down the pronunciation of any other words, please get in touch: hello@meredithspielman.com
In this episode I talk about comprehensible input and the BEST way to implement it in your language learning. I also talk about mimicking or shadowing, how you can use it to improve your accent and pronunciation, and the easiest way to do it. In both cases, I'm talking from my personal experience as someone who learned a second language as an adult (Spanish), and from the experience I've had with my ESL students.
This is the first episode! I don't know what I'm doing! But anyways this is a podcast 100% in English to help you learn English IN CONTEXT via comprehensible input. In this episode I talk about myself, about how I learned Spanish, how I became an ESL teacher, and all about how to learn languages.
I think I'll listen to this podcast because right now I'm looking for new ways to improve my English. I also try to read different information on the Internet, including articles like https://promova.com/blog/how-to-learn-new-words-in-english-everyday . I liked the idea of memorizing words every day. I think it will help expand my vocabulary.
