We dive deep into her journey from building a seven-figure business to spending a year binge-watching TV as her body demanded rest, and how that surrender became the portal to her greatest work. ➡️ The journey from seven-figure success to necessary rest and how binge-watching TV became sacred nervous system healing
➡️ Understanding divine feminine energy as the art of being versus doing, and why softness contains more power than hustle
➡️ Practical embodiment practices like alternate nostril breathing, morning rituals, and sensory pleasure to rewire the nervous system

Dub Paetz spent 80 days completely alone in the sub-zero Arctic as a finalist on Season 11 of Alone, and the parallels to what so many of us experience in our emotional and relational lives are undeniable. What struck me most wasn't just his physical survival skills, but the way extreme isolation forced him to face decades of buried wounds and come out the other side more himself than ever. If you've ever felt like you're navigating your own kind of wilderness, this episode is going to hit different.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ What 80 days alone in the Arctic teaches you about the human spirit
➡️ How childhood wounds resurface under pressure and what to do with them
➡️ The mental battle of a lose-lose decision and how to survive it
➡️ Why tapping out isn't always losing and when following your gut is the real win
➡️ How radical authenticity can heal old wounds and become your greatest superpower

What if the parenting advice we were handed wasn't actually aligned with how God designed our kids? This week, I'm sitting down with Meaghan Hampton, LPC-Associate and founder of Soul Care for Families, and we are going deep on this topic. If you grew up in the church, were handed certain parenting books, or ever felt that knot in your stomach when a teaching just didn't sit right, this one is for you.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ How developmental psychology and your faith actually work beautifully together
➡️ What the nervous system and attachment science tell us about our kids' behavior
➡️ The real cultural and scriptural context behind "spare the rod"
➡️ Scripts and mantras for sibling conflict, big emotions, and spicy toddler moments
➡️ Why trusting your maternal intuition is part of your healing, not a threat to your faith

This episode is one of the most personal ones I've recorded in a long time, and I'm so grateful you're here for it. I'm sharing what's really been on my heart — grief, a hospital scare, breathwork, my nervous system, and the quiet courage it takes to keep showing up when life feels this tender. If you've ever wondered what healing actually looks like in real time, this one's for you.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ The poem I wrote for my mom's celebration of life and what it taught me about love and loss
➡️ Why healing rarely looks dramatic, and what those tiny faithful steps actually feel like
➡️ Navigating hypervigilance and fragility when loss keeps showing up all around you

This week I'm joined by one of my Root to Rise clients, and hearing her share how she went from constant hypervigilance and fear of abandonment to genuine peace in her relationship reminded me why I do this work. Sonia's breakthrough wasn't about fixing her partner or finding the perfect relationship strategy, it was about learning to slow down, trust herself, and stop abandoning herself in the name of keeping someone close. Her story is proof that the answers we're frantically searching for outside ourselves have been inside all along.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ How anxiety in relationships shows up even when there's no "obvious" trauma or reason
➡️ The nervous system roots of anxious attachment and hypervigilance in intimacy
➡️ Learning to slow down, be still, and trust yourself instead of over-explaining or seeking permission
➡️ Why suppressing emotions with tools backfires—and how to actually listen to your body's messages
➡️ Breaking free from the healing trap of constantly chasing the next program or coach

In this episode, I sit down with Elizabeth Scarcella to explore why you might still feel physically depleted even after doing deep emotional and nervous system work. We unpack the biochemistry of betrayal trauma: how cortisol floods your system like a firefighter that won't stop spraying water, dampening your thyroid, draining your progesterone, and throwing your entire hormone cascade into chaos. Elizabeth shares her own story of navigating betrayal while discovering that true healing requires addressing both nervous system regulation and hormonal harmony.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ The cell danger response and why your body stays in defense mode long after trauma ends
➡️ How chronic cortisol creates a domino effect that impacts thyroid, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, and insulin
➡️ Real-world signs your body is still biochemically stuck in survival mode (sleep issues, brain fog, inflammation, low libido)
➡️ Why emotional healing alone can't restore hormonal balance—and what's missing from most recovery approaches
➡️ A trauma-informed, simplified approach to lab work and supplements that actually supports your nervous system

This week, I'm joined by Christina Lane to talk about something that keeps so many of us stuck: what happens when love has hurt us so deeply that our bodies literally can't tell the difference between intimacy and danger anymore. We explored how triggers aren't proof that something's wrong with us; they're actually invitations for deeper connection if we know how to work with them. Christina shared why men aren't actually "avoidant" (they're just terrified in a different way than we are), how sitting in discomfort beats solution-hunting every time, and what it really takes to rebuild safety after betrayal.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ Why love is inherently painful and how to get comfortable with emotional discomfort
➡️ The real reason men shut down (and why labeling them "avoidant" makes everything worse)
➡️ How to tell the difference between a present-moment trigger and an old wound replaying
➡️ Co-creating safety through somatic rituals instead of perpetual compromise
➡️ Why your body, not your mind, gets the final say on whether intimacy feels safe again

I've talked about my mom's Alzheimer's journey on the podcast before, but today I wanted to shine a light on the side of caregiving no one talks about—the guilt, the resentment, the dark thoughts that make you wonder if you're a terrible person. My friend and personal caregiving coach Erin Antroinen joined me to normalize the feelings caregivers are afraid to admit, from wishing it would end faster to jealousy when other people's parents pass away quickly. We're getting real about the emotional chaos, the sibling dynamics, the financial awkwardness, and most importantly, how to find those tiny moments of peace when you feel like you're drowning.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ The dark thoughts caregivers have but are afraid to say out loud
➡️ Navigating guilt, resentment, and the "not enough" spiral
➡️ Why your loved one's confusion or regression isn't suffering the way you think it is
➡️ Micro-moments of self-care when you have zero capacity left

I had such a powerful conversation with Becky Alfred about something that's been hitting me hard lately - the moments when my kids trigger me the most are actually showing me the parts of myself that need healing. We dove into why our children aren't problems to fix, but mirrors reflecting back what we weren't allowed to be or express as kids. This episode completely reframed how I think about conflict, repair, and what it really means to break generational patterns.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ Why your kids' biggest triggers reveal your own childhood wounds
➡️ The difference between anxious and secure attachment in handling conflict
➡️ How to repair after losing your cool (and why it's the secret sauce)
➡️ Rethinking sibling fights as practice opportunities instead of problems
➡️ The CAPS framework for showing up as the parent your kids need

➡️ The connection between throat issues, thyroid problems, and suppressed truth
➡️ How perfectionism and people-pleasing keep high-achievers trapped in survival mode

I'm grieving right alongside so many of you this holiday season, and this raw conversation with two of my closest friends felt like the only thing that made sense to share right now. We gathered in Palm Springs - Julie processing her divorce anniversary, Erin navigating waves of grief from losing both parents, and me just days after my mom's passing. What unfolded was exactly what we needed: permission to crash out, laugh through tears, and hold space for whatever showed up.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ How grief shows up differently in each of our bodies and why there's no "right" way to feel it
➡️ The untethered feeling of losing a parent and navigating identity without them
➡️ Why fixing grieving people doesn't help—and what actually does
➡️ Cultivating friendships deep enough to hold both joy and sorrow without shame

➡️ Meet Julie Brumley & Erin Antroinen 🔗
Julie Brumley is an adoptee coach dedicated to helping adoptees navigate identity, healing, and belonging. Her empathy and insight make her a powerful guide on the adoptee journey. She’s also one of my closest friends, and her wisdom and heart inspire me every day.
Erin Antroinen is a caregiving coach who supports caregivers with practical tools, compassion, and encouragement as they balance the demands of caring for others. She is also one of my best friends, and her strength and generosity continue to shape my life in meaningful ways.
This is the most meaningful episode I will ever release. Recorded years ago - shortly after my mom’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis - this conversation was meant to be a time capsule, a tribute to her life and to our relationship. My mom, Diane Lesage, passed away this past Sunday at the age of 75 - and it finally feels like the right moment to share her voice, her stories, and her heart with the world.
My mom only needed 30 seconds with you for you to never forget her. Anyone who met her remembers her radical acceptance and her non-judgmental love. She was a safe space for anyone who ever knew her.
Some of the messages I received this week said that my mom had a way of healing you without even trying. My hope is that these 30 minutes in your ear do the same - that she reminds you of how unbroken you truly are, that you feel accepted, and that you see life and love a little differently.
In this episode, we sit together and talk about her childhood, the challenges she faced, the people who shaped her, and her unique view on the meaning of life. It’s raw, imperfect, honest, emotional, and deeply human - exactly as she was.
If this episode touches you, please share it with someone who may need comfort, connection, or permission to preserve their own family stories. Thank you for holding space for my mom.
Trigger Warnings• Childhood trauma• Institutionalization of a disabled child• Disordered eating / body image struggles

The masterclass explored everything from recognizing when your body is telling you the truth to that "Premier League Woman" energy of radical self-acceptance, and if these clips resonate with you, the full two-part workshop is available for just $11.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ Building energetic self-trust as the foundation for all relationships
➡️ The neuroscience behind trust and how oxytocin, dopamine, and vasopressin create connection
➡️ How somatic work creates imperceptible shifts that transform your life
➡️ Learning to trust your body's wisdom over hypervigilance and external validation
➡️ The "Premier League Woman" framework for embodying safety, power, and spiritual alignment

In this episode, Noelle Kustas and I are digging into a topic that so many women struggle with: the fear that we've somehow missed our window. Noelle's story of leaving a 20-year teaching career, surviving an abusive marriage, and finding love again in her late thirties proves that our greatest transformations often happen when we think it's "too late." We explore how the unraveling process, though terrifying, is actually the gateway to discovering who we really are beneath all the roles we've played.
✨ Topics Covered
➡️ Breaking free from the timeline lie that says you're running out of time
➡️ How your body holds trauma even when you think you've moved on
➡️ The power of writing your future self into existence and living it now
➡️ Why forgiveness isn't for them; it's the key to breaking destructive patterns
➡️ Finding love after abuse and creating the relationship you never knew was possible
