An adaptation of a Steven King Novel. We've done plenty of these before! This week it's The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the helm. Releasing this now feel quite well timed with the recent release of Edgar Wright's 'The Running Man' and we definitely have a preference. So follow us down into this dystopian game show where we discuss the many many many one liners, Arnolds interesting acting and our very limited WWE knowledge...
We're back!!!! An no better way to kick off our return than with one of the most influential sci-fi films of all time. Are you ready for another teen film? Well you better be as this week we are reviewing Fast Times at Ridgemont High. This is another classic 80s teen comedy with iconic scenes as well as some hard hitting ones too. Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions as this film includes some fairly uncomfortable scenes, a surfer dude who loves taking his shirt off and a small appearance from Nicolas Cage.
An absolute classic. The adventure film of all adventure films. This is Raiders of the Lost Ark, the start of a legendary character named Indiana Jones. If you've never seen this film then what are you doing? You're truly missing out! This film has action, adventure, archaeological digs and much more.
When a teenagers parents go away for the weekend, a series of events leads to their son turning their house into a brothel. Today we review a film about a book, which is about thoughts and imagination which potentially are happening in real life or in a child's head. It's hard to tell. Anyway, this is The NeverEnding Story (except don't worry, this podcast episode does end and you don't have to listen to us forever). From this episode you can except a very tragic death of an animal, some really good practical effects and a dragon who says he likes kids...lets leave it there.
This week we are taking a stroll down the streets of LA and meeting up with Sgt Riggs and Sgt Murtaugh to solve a mysterious murder linked with a larger criminal enterprise. This has got to be one of the best action/cop movies ever made and a personal favourite in general. From this weeks episode you can expect an overly interested therapist, a crazy but not crazy cop and some great one liners such as "I guess we need to register you as a lethal weapon."
What do you think happens when you die? In this film it's different for everyone. For Barbara and Adam, their death meant trying to scare away a family who moved into their home. (Apologies in advance if the audio quality isn't as good as usual, there was extensive technical issues and everything possible has been done to fix them. Trust me, it sounded much worse than it does now!)

When a robot is struck by lightning it gains the ability to think for itself and ends up going on a big adventure trying to escape its creators. From this weeks episode on Short Circuit you can expect a police academy reunion, a very stereotypical Indian accent and a few creepy robot moments.
This film really took us by surprise at how amazing it is! The message it sends is timeless and we've never had such a deep conversation on the podcast before. In this weeks episode you can expect a really thoughtful conversation about the themes brought up in the film, talk on how amazing Robin Williams is and we contemplate whether poetry is good or not.
We went into this film with very little expectations and are now very shocked with how much we liked it! So this week, join us on a trip round creepy German guys house where we can have a slice of pie and relax as the town gets taken over bu some good old monsters!
