What does justification have to do with the Holy Spirit? What is justification in the first place? Justification can be defined simply as God's act of declaring the believing sinner righteous. And righteousness is obtained through faith, through the New Covenant, and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. So we see that there is a direct connection between the two, and we see that if Jesus had not gone away, believers could not have been counted as righteous.
What is the ministry of the Holy Spirit? Jesus said that it is to our advantage for him to return to the Father because, if he didn't, he would not be able to send the Helper - the Holy Spirit. The ministry of the Spirit is part of the New Covenant; but to understand the New Covenant, we need to understand what the Old Testament says. What we see is that if Jesus did not leave (meaning, his death, burial, resurrection and ascension), the blessings of the new covenant would remain at bay and many of the promises are yet to be fulfilled.
Why are people in our culture not responding to gospel presentations and calls to believe? It is possible that, as we share the gospel with them, they do not understand exactly who Jesus is. Today we look at calls to believe in Scripture to ascertain how our gospel presentations ought to look.

Today we again look at the person of Jesus and his confrontation with the Pharisees. The Pharisees accused Jesus of being the Son of Satan, not the Son of God. In this interaction, we see a couple of strange passage. When Jesus speaks about binding up a strong man, what is he meaning? What is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? What does it mean that we will be judged for every careless word we have spoken?
The Articles of Faith of a church are not independent statements of what a church believes, but an interwoven system of not only what we teach, but how we live day to day. Today, Pastor Randal speaks about what we believe regarding Jesus Christ by looking at a pivotal interaction Jesus had with the Pharisees. Why is this so conversation so important? And how does what we believe about Jesus impact our lives today?

Dr. Randal Gilmore - John 17
What is so important about the resurrection? What does it matter if Jesus really rose from the dead? Today, on Easter Sunday, Pastor Randal Gilmore addresses these very questions. Jesus' resurrection saves us from death. But death from what? And what practical implications are there for today?

Life is hard. Things go wrong. Evil is done against us, and sometimes tragedies happen that just don't make sense. Why? Why did God allow this? Was this really God's will? We all are faced with those situations and ask those questions. And when it comes to Jesus and his crucifixion, we can't but help but wonder, "Why? Wasn't there another way?" Today, guest preacher Paul Pletcher looks at Isaiah 53 and ask three questions.

Living Water

What is living water? Today we look at Jesus' interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well to answer that question. All of us thirst for something. And many of us try to fill ourselves with something that only leaves us empty. What are you trying to fill yourself with? Where are you looking for water?
How do you get to heaven? Are there many ways, or is there just one? Today, Drew Houck looks at Galatians 1 to understand what the Bible means by "the gospel." What is this gospel? How can we distort the gospel? And, if we do distort the gospel, or even try to contribute to our salvation with good works, is that so bad?

How can one person be indifferent to God while another can passionately pursue him? One possibility is that the one who pursues sees something in God that the other doesn't. What do they see? God's glory. And the clearest way to see God's glory is to see how Christ returns to the Father by way of the cross? What does that mean? Guest preacher. Patrick Gilbert, gives us three ways that God reveals his glory through the work of Christ.
We all experience suffering and affliction, which inevitably cause us to question God's wisdom and goodness? Where is God? What is he doing? Has he left me? Today we see that even in our trials, God is with us. He has never left us or forsaken us, and he ultimately expressed this truth in Christ's death on the cross.
