BANG BANG! A signing that Jeff Jarrett calls the 'greatest acquisition in TNA history' (because he hates Kurt Angle) has finally arrived to the iMPACT Zone! Mick Foley is here for the first time in-person on a TNA show!On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of TNA iMPACT from October 2nd, 2008. Bound For Glory, the biggest event of the year for TNA, is right around the corner, and a lot of things need to be settled. Samoa Joe & Sting are battling over not only the World Championship, but respect. Jeff Jarrett & Kurt Angle have been going back-and-forth for weeks now, and Kurt has finally convinced Jarrett to step back into the ring to face him. Kurt recently did media for TNA over in Europe, which has caused a lot of controversy; so much so, that Jeff Jarrett has to address it in the ring!Christian Cage isn't sure who to trust, as AJ Styles seems to always find a way to mess something up for them! On this episode of iMPACT, all three of these men will be in the ring together, as Christian Cage teams with AJ Styles & "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal to take on the team of Team 3D & Booker T. Also, ODB has a show-long issue with Velvet Sky & Angelina Love, The Beautiful People, and she needs a partner!Of course, as we mentioned, Mick Foley will speak in-ring for the first time in front of the iMPACT Zone.⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com #deadlock #prowrestling
It's November 4th, 2004, and for Kurt Angle, it was supposed to be a regular day in the ring, but what nearly happens could have changed the careers of him & his "opponent" forever! On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we're going to take a look at the infamous incident between Kurt Angle & Tough Enough Season 4's Daniel Puder. Puder, who is definitely from the UFC, has become a fan favorite as of late on the SmackDown-exclusive "Million Dollar Tough Enough". Al Snow has brought Kurt Angle out to teach these guys a lesson in what it takes to be a WWE Superstar, including doing squats, running, eating pasta, and drinking milk. After Kurt puts them through a session of burpees, he asks any of the competitors if they want to get in the ring with him. Daniel Puder is the man to step up to the plate, and everything after that is history. Also on this episode, Booker T is getting ready for his PPV title match against JBL, but JBL & his "Chief of Staff" Orlando Jordan have come up with a plan to try to take him out before then. Josh Mathews interviews Orlando Jordan before his scheduled match with Booker T, and Orlando & JBL's attitude sets Josh off, leading to him teaming up with Booker T in the MAIN EVENT of this SmackDown to face JBL & Orlando! We also can't forget that Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak are on this show. They take on the team of RVD & Rey Mysterio! Spike Dudley & The Dudley Boyz look to take out The Big Show before Survivor Series, and Jackie Gayda looks to defend the honor of her man, Charlie Haas, against Dawn Marie in an Arm Wrestling Contest. 2004 really was special.⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com #deadlock #prowrestling
WCW emanates from Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for this edition of WCW Monday Nitro on January 22nd, 1996, where there are not one, but TWO big title matches on hand. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship is currently held by Ric Flair, and on this edition of WCW Nitro, he defends it against "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. But, this isn't the main event! The second title match, which sees Harlem Heat defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Sting & Lex Luger...is also not the main event! The main event of this show sees Hulk Hogan taking on the current WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, One Man Gang! It is not for the title. Why is it the main event? Because it is, brother.Of course, Hulk Hogan's eyes aren't set on the US Championship, they're set on the World Championship, and he is hoping that his "friend", Randy Savage, will give him the first shot as champion. The Macho Man sees things a little differently, though. Also on this show, Dean Malenko takes on the "Loose Cannon", Brian Pillman! The boys are back in The Temple!Last week, we took our first look at Lucha Underground. We had such a good time with it, that we decided for the first time to do a BACK-TO-BACK review, following up on the last episode. This week, we're taking a look at the 2nd episode of Lucha Underground!Big Ryck, as well as his henchmen Cortez Castro & Cisco are here to run their mouths some more after the damage they dealt out to Johnny Mundo & Prince Puma after last episode's main event. But, Mundo & Puma don't take the trash talk for too long, which brings Dario Cueto to set up a tag match right away!Chavo Guerrero teams with Sexy Star to take on Son of Havoc & Ivelisse, in a follow up match from last week where Sexy Star was beaten by Son of Havoc (who absolutely pulled the tights, just so you know!). But that's not the last we see of Chavo Guerrero tonight! Also, in our main event, the debut of 1,000 deaths - Mil Muertes steps into the Temple to take on the winner of last week's main event, Blue Demon Jr!All of that, and much more, on this week's DEADLOCK Podcast!⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com #deadlock #prowrestling
Welcome to LUCHA UNDERGROUND! The year is 2014, and a brand new wrestling company has popped up on a network that hasn't had wrestling before, the El Rey Network. Lucha Underground gave us a different look at how television wrestling can be produced, and this first episodes gives us an early idea on the direction they were looking to go. Dario Cueto is the man in charge, a promoter that has opened up his 'Temple' to luchadores from all around the world. In this first episode, he has $100,000 on the line to the best fighter of the night. Little did we know, he has other plans in mind for that money. The main event of this debut episode is Prince Puma (Ricochet) taking on Johnny Mundo (John Morrison). Also on this show, Chavo Guerrero Jr. takes on Blue Demon Jr., and we get our first look at some Lucha Underground mainstays like Son of Havoc & Sexy Star. We're on the road to WWF In Your House: Buried Alive, where The Undertaker & Mankind will do battle in the first ever Buried Alive match! To get you ready for that match, Mankind & Undertaker have some things to say from, of course, a graveyard. In the main event of this episode of WWF Monday Night RAW, Stone Cold Steve Austin will take on Shawn Michaels in their first one-on-one match in RAW history. Steve Austin is getting ready for his match against Savio Vega at the PPV, and Shawn Michaels...is not doing anything at the PPV because his schedule is very, very tough! Also on this show, Vader takes on Phineas I. Godwinn (PIG) who is managed by Hillbilly Jim! Hunter Hearst Helmsley has a difficult night against Freddie Joe Floyd (Tracy Smothers), because Mr. Perfect can't stop stealing his women. Faarooq & Ahmed Johnson have a war of words, and Faarooq takes out his frustrations on THE PUG! Of course, you can't forget about Jerry Lawler, who is doing his best to make fun of Jake Roberts and his demons. It's WCW Nitro from October 21, 1996! We're on the road to Halloween Havoc 1996, and the New World Order are on a tear, taking out anyone and everyone in their path. WCW are still putting up a fight, but they need someone to step up to the plate and lead them to victory! There's only one man that can get the job done, and he makes his return to WCW after a month long absence; it's STING! Sting is back, and for the first time, he makes an appearance with the beginning stages of the "Crow Sting" look. But, whose side is he on...? Plus, "Macho Man" Randy Savage is having his heart strings pulled at, as Miss Elizabeth makes a plea for him to forgive her, despite her being with the NWO. Eric Bischoff showed him a video last week of her apologizing, and has the great idea of showing him another video this week! Also, Hollywood Hulk Hogan is here...live from a movie set! He's here to talk about the movie he's working on; 3 NINJAS! Everyone knows that movie! All of that, plus some in-ring action from DDP, Chris Jericho, Harlem Heat, Lex Luger, Roadblock, Big Ron Studd, and many more!⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com #deadlock #prowrestling
The biggest WrestleMania of all time (there have only been two so far) is upon is, and with no matches announced, and a venue that is only just getting announced on this show, the WWF is going to have to pull out all the stops to have record-breaking attendance numbers for this one. Thankfully for them, life as a pro wrestling fan is a lot different in 1987, and a match like Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant is enough to sell NINETY-THOUSAND TICKETS (or maybe not, dude). The date is February 7, 1987 for this episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling. Roddy Piper (along with Jesse Ventura) invite Hulk Hogan & Andre The Giant on to Piper's Pit to talk about their issues, but Bobby Heenan surprises everyone by showing up as well! Also on this show, the WWF Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart w/ Jimmy Hart) go for the gold against the British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid). Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the referee for this contest is that evil referee, Danny Davis! Outback Jack makes his WWF debut because his friend Hillbilly Jim brought him in, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage is here to beat up some local talent that the crowd hates. Ho-Ho-Ho! Ol' Saint Mick Foley is here to bring us this festive edition of WWE SmackDown from November 29th, 2011. Yes, a November Christmas episode. Mick Foley is here to run the show, just because it's Christmas time, and he's Santa Claus. Foley sets up some matches on this show, including a World Heavyweight Title STEEL CAGE Match between Mark Henry & Daniel Bryan. There will be an "All I Want For Christmas" Battle Royal with top stars like Sheamus, Hunico, and Hornswoggle with the opportunity to have one (1) wish granted by Santa Claus himself. Also, it's a Miracle on 34th Street...fight between Randy Orton & assistant to John Laurinaitis, David Otunga. But what better way to kick things off than a Mistle-Toe-On-A-Pole Match between all the SmackDown Divas, including The Bella Twins, Natalya, AJ Lee, and many more for a chance to win a "very special prize". It's the season of giving, and the WWE is here to give you quite a Christmas Special! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com #deadlock #prowrestling

Tonight, he does exactly that as he faces Bully Ray in the main event! Speaking of Bully Ray, he and Aces & Eights have been causing chaos, and they are on a collision course with the Main Event Mafia. Win a match and you earn points, with everyone fighting to climb to the top of the leaderboard. Plus, there are three different X-Division Championship qualifying three-way matches. The June 27th, 2002 episode of WWE SmackDown! is a historic one, as it features the WWE debut of John Cena! Kurt Angle is introduced by Mr. McMahon. Kurt still has his fake hair from losing it in a match against Edge! He takes it off and says he is tired of being made fun of. He then challenges any wrestler in the back that he has never faced to a match right now! A new kid named John Cena comes out, tells Kurt that he has “Ruthless Aggression,” and slaps Angle in the face! The match is now kicked off. Cena takes it to Angle and almost gets the win multiple times. However, Angle forces Cena’s shoulders down and gets the win! After the match, John Cena earns the respect of The Undertaker backstage. Speaking of The Undertaker, he comes out to the ring and runs down The Rock on the microphone, saying he is going to make him pay when he returns to the WWE. Kurt Angle then comes out and challenges Taker to a match next week on WWE SmackDown! for the WWE Championship! He ends up putting The Undertaker in the ankle lock for a few seconds just to show that he can. Also, Mark Henry and Lance Storm have a match, Test takes on Rikishi, Reverend D-Von and Batista team against Faarooq and Randy Orton, and The Divas give us a sneak peek at the upcoming “Divas Undressed” special! Plus, in the main event, Chris Jericho faces “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan!⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com
It’s ECW Hardcore TV from October 31st, 1995, featuring a huge main event with The Sandman defending the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Mikey Whipwreck! This is a ladder match but with different rules. The winner must defeat their opponent by pinfall or submission. Before we get to that match, Mikey Whipwreck has one last “Hoodie Training Session” with The Public Enemy. They meet in complete darkness at Central Park in New York. While Rocco Rock leaves to get training items, Johnny Grunge has a training session of his own for Mikey. He makes Mikey run up a ladder and grab beers that are hanging in a tree. By the end of it Mikey is blown up, Johnny Grunge is wasted and Rocco Rock is upset! This is a classic ECW segment. Speaking of classics, Steve Austin is here for “Beulah’s Box!” He is dressed up like Eric Bischoff for “Monday NyQuil!” He does his best impression of Eric and vents all his frustrations with WCW, including getting fired over the phone! Steve Austin was pissed off and wanted everyone to know about it! Austin also gets involved in the main event ladder match. Plus, The Pitbulls dominate Don E. Allen & The Broad Street Bully, and get in a brawl with The Eliminators. The Dudley Family all have something to say, as well. It’s November 25th, 2010 on Thanksgiving for this special episode of TNA Wrestling iMPACT! There is no Turkey Bowl, but we do get a Thanksgiving Party with Immortal. Matt Morgan is the current #1 contender for Jeff Hardy’s TNA World Championship. Because he beat Ric Flair, he gets to choose a special guest referee for their match at the Final Resolution PPV. We don’t find out who his referee is going to be tonight, but he does get challenged to an 8 man elimination tag team match by Immortal for the main event. He teams with Douglas Williams, and they need to find 2 more partners. They search for partners throughout the night and end up convincing Samoa Joe and The Pope D'Angelo Dinero to be on their team. The match goes their way, until Joe and The Pope battle to the back, leaving Matt Morgan all by himself. Eventually, Jeff Hardy gets involved, and the match ends in a no contest. Also, all night Immortal is having a Thanksgiving celebration, and it turns out that Eric Bischoff has invited Dixie Carter to dinner. She does show up at the end of the show and serves them with papers. She says that Hogan doesn’t have signatory rights to sign the talent he has been signing and that she will see them in court. Plus, Madison Rayne has a match with Sarita after a backstage brawl, Jeff Jarrett has an MMA Submission Match with Ink Inc’s Jesse Neal, and Tommy Dreamer and Rhino battle in “The Last Street Fight!” All this and more during a Thanksgiving edition of TNA Wrestling Impact!⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com

WWF Survivor Series 1997 is known for one thing: The Montreal Screwjob. This was the case where Bret Hart was leaving the WWF to join the WCW. At the time, Bret was the WWF Champion, but he didn’t want to lose the WWF Championship in Canada. Especially to Shawn Michaels. During the match, Michaels put Bret Hart in the Sharpshooter. Vince McMahon, who was ringside, ordered referee Earl Hebner to ring the bell even though Bret hadn’t submitted. Shawn Michaels was declared the new WWF Champion. That was The Montreal Screwjob. Now on November 17th, 1997 on WWF Monday Night RAW, the fallout from the infamous incident begins. Vince McMahon sits down in a one on one interview with Jim Ross. During this candid conversation McMahon explains that Bret Hart refused to lose the WWF Championship before leaving the company to join their rival competition, WCW. He said that Bret put himself above the company and that he had no choice but to protect the company. Vince says, “Bret screwed Bret. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Bret.” Also, as the show opens, the Intercontinental Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin calls out The Rock. The Nation of Domination come to the ring and start attacking Stone Cold! The numbers game got to him allowing The Rock to steal the IC Championship Title Belt. In the main event The Rock battles Dude Love in a non title match, but it ends when The Nation of Domaination get involved. Stone Cold makes the save, but The Rock is able to escape with the IC Title. Plus, DX attack Sargent Slaughter leading to a match at the next PPV, Kane destroys The Headbangers, and Vader takes on “The Artist Formerly Known As” Goldust.⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com
The Inaugural WWF Draft just happened and this is the final WWF SmackDown! before the roster splits up into two brands. On the March 28th, 2002 episode Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac team up to take on Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Kane. A huge match that features an iconic Kane promo where he starts talking like Hulkamania. Triple H is teaming with Ric Flair for the very first time as both Kurt Angle and Mr. McMahon want to settle the score with Triple H. Stephanie McMahon was fired and now they want revenge. Also, the Dudley Boyz compete for the WWF Tag Team Titles and if they lose they are going to separate brands. Chris Jericho wrestles Matt Hardy, Maven Fights Raven for the WWF Hardcore Championship, and this is the last night for the APA as they both got drafted to opposite shows. This is the last time both brands will be on the same show as the roster split is making RAW and SmackDown! completely unique from each other.⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com

September 26th, 2005 is the final WWE Monday Night RAW on Spike TV. Spike had a few rules on this episode, do not talk bad about Spike TV and don’t mention USA Network. Next week WWE is doing a huge 3 hour episode of WWE RAW Homecoming on USA. Mr. McMahon comes out to open the show and thanks Spike TV for being good partners and promotes the next episode on USA! Spike TV producers didn’t like WWE mentioning USA on air so much that they started to censor the show. They mute commentary and throw up technical difficulty bumpers on the live broadcast. This only made WWE more upset and they start promoting the return to USA even more.
