If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (NIV)
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (NIV)
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (NIV)
If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin... (NIV)
We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (NIV)
For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. (NIV)
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." (NIV)
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. (NIV)
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (NIV)
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. (NIV)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (NIV)
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (NIV)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (NIV)
Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (NIV)
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. (NIV)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (NIV)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. (NIV)
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. (NIV)
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (NIV)
The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. (NIV)
