Helping neurodiverse families find calm, clarity, and a bit of magic in the mess.Welcome to The Organised Life Podcast with Rhi, (previously known as the Real Talk With Rhi Podcast) the podcast for overwhelmed mums navigating the beautiful chaos of family life, especially in neurodiverse households.

I'm Rhi, a mum of four, business owner, and fellow neuro-sparkly human. Whether you're managing ADHD, supporting a child through an autism assessment, or just trying to remember where you put your keys, you're in the right place.

Here, we talk real life: organisation that actually works, the messy middle of parenting neurodiverse kids, and how to reclaim calm when the world feels too loud.

From planner hacks to deeper chats about diagnosis, mental load, and self-care - it's all welcome here.

So grab your headphones, and let’s make life work, together.

If your child has just been diagnosed with autism, you might be thinking… now what?  In this video I’m sharing what actually happens after the diagnosis, from the emotional rollercoaster of the meeting itself to the practical next steps with school, EHCP or IDP conversations, paperwork, financial support and protecting your own mental health.  I’ve been through this four times with my own children, and I know how overwhelming that day can feel. An autism diagnosis does not change your child. It gives you data. And data helps you support them better.  If you’re in this space right now, you’re not alone. ➡️ Join the conversation in the YouTube comments here - https://youtu.be/0kamuXuGM00 Resources ➡️ Free Autism Signs Guide - https://mummyoffour.com/100asd ➡️ Join my free Neuro-Sparkly community - https://mummyoffour.com/join ➡️ Join the Organised Life Club - https://mummyoffour.com/joinOLC ⸻ UK Financial Support - I can’t advise on individual financial circumstances, but you can check eligibility here: GOV.UK benefits calculators https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators Turn2us  https://www.turn2us.org.uk Citizens Advice https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/ ✨ Join My FREE Neuro-Sparkly Community & Resource Hub - https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/join 📒 Organised Life Club (OLC) - https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/olc 🏰 Magical Adventures Club (MAC) - https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/mac 💖 Resources ♾️ Autism Support Toolkit The resource I wish someone had given me when we started our journey. 🔗 https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/100ASD 🕒 Rhi’s Routine Resources Printables & tools to bring calm and consistency to your days 🔗 https://mummyoffour.com/routine 📧 Ultimate Mum Bundle Free printables to help you get organised! 🔗 https://mummyoffour.com/jointheclub 📕 My Planner Store Organisation, travel & productivity planners (ad / own product) 🔗 https://mummyoffour.com/planner
IWaiting for an autism assessment can feel overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally exhausting, especially for parents in the UK facing long waiting lists. In this video, I share what you can do while you wait to support your child, gather observations, reduce stress at home and school, and feel less helpless during this stage of the autism assessment process. I also share free and practical resources to help you recognise signs of autism, record what you’re seeing, and set up supportive routines for your neurodiverse family while you’re in this waiting period. Parenting a child with autism who masks can feel unbelievably isolating, especially when school reports say they’re “fine” but home is full of after school meltdowns, shutdowns, anxiety, and overwhelm. In this episode, I’m talking about the hidden side of high masking children with autism, why meltdowns often happen at home with the safe person, and why you are not failing even if you’ve tried every strategy. I also share why these meltdowns are data, how to communicate with school, and how I think about regulation using the firefighter approach. 🔗 Links mentioned;   ➡️ Free community & resource hub - https://mummyoffour.com/join   🔗 100 Signs Of Autism Guide - https://mummyoffour.com/100asd   🌈 Autism Journey Journal - https://mummyoffour.com/AJJ   🩷 Meltdown Strategies For Autism That Actually Work - https://youtu.be/REewxkF-hVg   🤗 Join The Organised Life Club - https://mummyoffour.com/JoinOLC 🔥 The Firefighter Technique - https://youtu.be/5UQP2-nZnhw
Whether my week flows smoothly or completely falls apart has very little to do with motivation — and almost everything to do with the systems I put in place beforehand.  In this video, I’m sharing the weekly planning systems I use as an ADHD mum of four autistic children to reduce chaos, avoid burnout, and make the week feel calmer and more manageable.  This isn’t about hustle, perfection, or rigid routines — it’s about reducing decision fatigue, supporting an ADHD brain, and setting your future self up for success.   ➡️ Free Organised Weekly Planning System Checklist - https://mummyoffour.com/planweek   ➡️ Free Neuro-Sparkly Community + Resource Library https://mummyoffour.com/join   ➡️ Kitchen Organisation Station – Free Printables & Guide - https://mummyoffour.com/organisationstation   ➡️ Organised Life Binder Setup Guide (A5 Mini Binder) - https://mummyoffour.com/binder 📒 Organised Life Club (OLC) -  https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/joinolc

If motivation feels like an iPhone battery that runs out fast (especially with ADHD), this episode is for you. I’m sharing the daily systems and routines I’ve put in place as an ADHD mum in a neurodiverse home so I don’t have to rely on motivation to get things done.
Feeling like you can only do life when a random burst of motivation appears? As an ADHD mum in a very neuro-sparkly family, I just cannot rely on motivation any more. In this episode I’m sharing how I set up my environment and habits so that the right things are easy to do and the unhelpful things are harder to fall into. From cleaning supplies in every bathroom, to basket systems, go shoes, walking pad miles, phone limits, screen time boundaries, water bottle habits and uniform stations… these are the real-life systems that support my messy ADHD brain every day. We’re also talking about habit design, future-you thinking, making good habits cute and attractive, and adding tiny bits of friction to the habits you’re trying to break. ⭐ Mentioned in this episode ➡️ Calm Start Routine Guide – http://mummyoffour.com/routine ➡️ Organised Weekly Planning System Checklist – https://mummyoffour.com/PlanWeek ➡️ Mini Binder Setup Guide – https://www.rhiannanmorgan.com/binder ➡️ iPhone Parental Controls Video – https://youtu.be/Smyo1c0_TB4  If you’d love help building systems, routines and habits that actually work for your neurodiverse family, come and join me inside the Organised Life Club - my membership for overwhelmed mums who want a calmer, more organised home and life. ➡️ Join the OLC - https://mummyoffour.com/joinolc Thanks so much for tuning in. Would you ever tell a friend you think their child might have autism? In this episode I share why my answer is usually no, what happens when you finally learn the signs of autism and start seeing them everywhere, and how the “wheel of acceptance” explains why some parents simply are not ready to hear it yet. If you are torn between staying quiet and speaking up, or you are in the middle of the autism assessment journey yourself, this honest chat will help you feel less alone and give you some practical ideas for what to do instead.  Free resources mentioned Free 100 Signs Of Autism printable – https://mummyoffour.com/100asd Free community and resource library for neuro sparkly families – https://rhiannanmorgan.com/join Watch next – autism signs and assessment Signs Of Autism To Look Out For In Children – https://youtu.be/Mt5Eua3CTCE Autism Signs, Assessment And Support Playlist – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLP7SPoJ1ortsTOlUwQT_szdkMv3MlEXI6 Our family’s autism journey Honest Conversation With Our Eldest About His Autism Assessment As A Teen – https://youtu.be/x8Eg3_gTDzU

If you’re a mum in a neuro-sparkly family, you’ll know that meltdowns can be incredibly hard — for our children and for us. I’ve talked before about what helps during a meltdown, but in this video I’m sharing how I try to avoid them before they start. While we can’t completely prevent autism meltdowns, there are so many strategies we can put in place to minimise them and help our children feel calmer, more supported, and understood. In this chat, I cover:🧠 Identifying triggers and early warning signs📓 Journalling patterns with the Autism Journey Journal💬 Building strong communication with your child’s school🎯 Using the Emotional Guidance Scale and Zones of Regulation🕒 Creating realistic routines and buffer time🌿 Minimising sensory overload and overscheduling💗 Empowering our kids to notice their own feelings and regulate themselves This isn’t about bubble-wrapping our children — it’s about giving them the tools to recognise how they feel, ask for help, and find their calm. ✨ Helpful links mentioned: 🩵 100 Signs of Autism Free Download: https://mummyoffour.com/100asd  💙 Organised Life Club: https://mummyoffour.com/joinolc

If you’ve ever felt at a loss when your child — especially a child with autism — is in the middle of a meltdown, you are not alone. Today I’m sharing the Firefighter Technique that completely changed the way I support my children. Instead of trying to reason or explain while they’re overwhelmed, I now think like a first responder — calm, clear, and focused on getting them safely back to their “safe and social” state. This one mindset shift has made all the difference. ✨ Free Download: 100 Signs of Autism Printable 📚 Books I mentioned; 📖The Chimp Paradox - https://amzn.to/485VxFV 📖 Reclaiming You - https://amzn.to/4nVwslJ 📚 Free Audiobook with Audible trial - https://mummyoffour.com/audible 💡 Join me in the Organised Life Club for workshops, planning parties & printable resources for your neuro-spicy family → mummyoffour.com/OLC
