Inappropriate Gen X horror reviews! Join Dave and Tom as they look back at the horror heyday from a gay / straight perspective. Basking in the glory days of 70s and 80s suspense cinema while always attempting to penetrate modern horror. If your first movie memories are sitting in front of a clunky cable box watching HBO… If you’ve anxiously waited in line at a horror-con to get Linda Blair’s autograph… If you absolutely must own every home video version of I Spit on your Grave then… To Hell with this Podcast is for you!

Listener submitted movies! Tom and Dave dive headfirst into the absolute trash fire of C.H.U.D., House (1985), and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. A triple feature held together by slime, cotton candy, and other questionable substances. Between sewer freaks, haunted chaos-daddies, and homicidal clowns serving ball shaped cocoons, T&D are bickering, cackling, and dragging every moment like it personally offended them. It’s loud, it’s messy, it’s a little bit feral—and honestly, whoever submitted this understood the assignment.
Tom and Dave do a deep plunge into the strange, silver-sphere-philled world of Don Coscarelli's Phantasm — and everything that followed. The "boyssss" review the entire Phantasm saga, philm by philm, sphere by sphere, unpacking its surreal mythology, cult legacy, and decades-spanning characters. Tons of Tall Man talk, folks. Enjoy!
It’s a Christmas quickie and Tom and Dave are not on the same list. They tackle Dead End (2003) and the 2025 remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night and immediately spiral into a festive feud where Tom blames all of the world's problems on Rohan Campbell. Opinions are loud, patience is thin, and the real slashing comes from the commentary. Naughty, nice, and deeply judgmental—just how Christmas should be. 🎄
Two friends, three werewolves, zero restraint. In this episode, Dave and Tom sink their teeth into Wes Craven's very regrettable Cursed (2005), the very ’80s Silver Bullet, based on the Stephen King graphic novel Cycle of the Werewolf, and the absolutely unhinged Howling II. Starring Christopher Lee. Grab a Dunkin refresher for Tom and an old fashioned for Dave, avoid the full moon, and come for the horror… stay for the gay innuendo.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Halloween Spooktacular: Night of the Living Dead (1990), Dead Sleep & The Strangers: Chapter OneIt’s Halloween at THWTP and Dave and Tom are celebrating the gayest way possible — by locking the doors, dimming the lights, and playing their favorite game: "close your eyes and guess is it the inside of a pumpkin or something else"! First off is Tom Savini’s slick remake Night of the Living Dead (1990), to the bizarre medical nightmare Dead Sleep, and finally the tense, mask-wearing mayhem of The Strangers: Chapter One, the boys unpack the terror, camp, and chocolate things!
***Special Video Episode***Thanks for joining us on our final episode of the season and first time on VIDEO! Today the gang discuss "cemetery movies". First off is the early Bill Paxton film Mortuary! Which has a no-longer-pure Mary Elizabeth McDonough, fresh off The Waltons and ready to get dirty! Next up is the sickest, goriest piece of Italian sleaze ever to wash ashore, The Gates of Hell aka City of the Living Dead. By the maestro himself, Lucio Fulci. Also! Dave blesses us with his in-person Fulci story! Finally it's a freaky, funhouse of a film.. the fart-tastic Spookies! Enjoy folks and let us know what you think of Tom's complexion!
Today's movies are:Mother's Day, Pig Killer, Jaws the Revenge
Producer's Note: please forgive the echo in this episode. We recorded by candle light in an ancient cathedral in the mountains.Join Dave and Tom as they slip into some leather chaps, pick out their favorite colored hanky and take a sweaty (and judgy) tour of some gay themed horror movies! First off is an incestuous little film about a boy, his deranged mother and lots of milk! Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (1981) aka Night Warning. Starring Susan Tyrrell, Jimmy McNichol, Bo Svenson and an early appearance from Bill Paxton! Next up is a sneaky little release from Vinegar Syndrome called Hanging Heart (1989) which has gay themes ✅ camp appeal ✅ and loads of head scratching ✅.Finally it’s a detour to the meat packing district with the legendary Cruising by Exorcist director (not Exorcist 3!) William Friedkin and starring Al Pacino as the very scared looking undercover cop / real actor who doesn’t quite know which movie he signed up for. This is the roughest of all trades, folks! Enjoy!
It’s a day of Dave’s picks ya’ll and Tom ain’t having it!The bros dive into three distinct films: Heart Eyes, a recent indie romance / slasher perfect for Valentine’s Day complete with smooching, hand holding and eye gouging. Nightmare (1981), a twisted slasher where the killer has a “Blacula” mask. Also it’s made by an Italian so you know it’s messed up! And finally Kalifornia (1993), a gritty road thriller starring Brad Pitt, David Duchovny and Tom’s favorite other sister - Juliette Lewis! There is much to discuss in this episode but the only thing worth mentioning is Tom’s revelation of “quick swirl”.Enjoy!!

First off the gang watch the 1986 Grace Jones vehicle VAMP directed by Richard Wenk and starring Chris Makepeace, Billy Drago and Long Duck Dong himself, Gedde Watanabe! Next up a sequel to a classic, Fright Night 2 from 1988. Dave covers some very interesting history of this odd flick. Directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and returning from part 1 are Roddy McDowall and William Ragsdale plus you get Brian Thompson of Cobra fame! Rough trade anyone? And finally we get the long anticipated new film from Robert Eggers, Nosferatu! Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård and of course Willem Dafoe! Followed by the big budget holiday monster mayhem of Krampus from 2015 directed by Michael Dougherty of Trick ‘r Treat fame and starring Adam Scott and Toni Collette. Finally the gang dive into a lesser known but just as twisted Better Watch Out from 2016 starring Olivia DeJonge, Levi Miller and directed by (Tom’s new obsession) Chris Peckover. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
