Go behind the scenes and meet the real women who are known as the successful mother and daughter team The Commander In Chief (Berit) and her manager mom & vocal coach Aina Elisabeth. Aina Elisabeth was trained in the old school Italian Bel Canto technique as a professional opera singer by the award winning Italian soprano Aida Meneghelli. She had the same singing teacher as Maria Callas, the legendary Elvira De Hidalgo.

Especially Aina gets a lot of singers who comes to her for help, after having been trained badly by other singing teachers. In this episode, we talk very frankly about this very serious issue, and we are not holding anything back.
How Norwegian are we? Will we ever move back to our native Norway? Are we part of a small minority? 25 years after emigrating, Aina and Berit get into a lively discussion about their roots, nationality and if they will ever move back to their native country. All of the episodes are completely unscripted, unedited and unplanned, with Aina Elisabeth picking the topic after they have started to film the episode.
Most of us have had pets, at some point in our lives. In this unscripted, light hearted episode, Aina Elisabeth and Berit (aka The Commander In Chief) talks about their love for their pets, and also the huge challenges and dangers they can pose.
Another totally unscripted, unedited episode where Berit and Aina Elisabeth holds nothing back, when discussing opera singers, their training and issues singers may struggle with. Having been trained the old school way, with private lessons 6 days a week, for many years, by the great Italian soprano Aida Meneghelli, Aina has very strong opinions on this issue. Her teacher, Meneghelli, had the same teacher as Maria Callas, and Aina Elisabeth is also known as the belcantocoach online. She has launched her signature online Bel Canto singing course, which comes wiith either group or 1:1 lessons on Zoom, in addition to 66 videos, PDFs and audio files.
After 8 years of hard work The Commander In Chief thought that she would finally release her major label debut, rather she ended up bedridden for 18 months due to a deadly parasite. On top of this she also got a shoulder injury. In this video blog episode she talks about her health scare, and her 3,5 year long recovery.
Her 1st ever guitar version of Sarasate's "Zigeunerweißen Op. 20" went viral. But how much music theory did Berit have to learn before she could take on pieces like this and Paganini's Caprice 24 on her 7 string electric guitar? How did this heavy metal shredder, who had been hailed as "1 of 10 modern guitar gods" by Metal Hammer, UK, prepare? Did she play the pieces reading the sheet music?
