"Behind the Bucket" is a documentary about the Midwest Garrison of the 501st Legion, which is a community of dedicated Star Wars fans who design and build film-accurate costumes that they wear to conventions and other fan events. They also lend their support by appearing in these costumes at fundraisers and charity events.
In this conversation, we celebrate Star Wars Day by talking about our own fandoms -- when we first saw the films, how we engaged with them as kids, and what about them still impresses us today. Then we discuss their documentary -- how Tom got involved with the 501st, what made them decide to make this film, and how they went about doing it.

In this episode, we cover the latter days of the band, their new direction under guitarist Bobby Ingram, and what they are up to today. We also discuss their turn towards heavier "Southern metal" music in the 2000s, the lead singers that took over for Danny Joe Brown, and even the band's controversial relationship with the confederate flag. For Play That Rock n' Roll's 60th episode, we are taking a look back at the full discography and career of the '80s New Wave band Wang Chung. In this episode, we cover their early days as "Huang Chung", their rise to pop stardom, their various high-profile soundtrack appearances, and what caused the band to go on hiatus for several years.
