Today we’re going to talk about grammar, and not just any grammar - an intermediate grammar that any student at the B1 level should know. It is something many students find a bit confusing, but once you understand the logic, it’s actually not that bad. The topic is reported speech, also called indirect speech.⏰ Mastering English Tenses Course - do 14.9. za zvýhodněnou cenu: TADYPodpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): BUY ME A COFFEE - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Now … this is actually a very special episode, because it’s number ninety-nine. And you know the saying, “I’ve got 99 problems but sounding natural in English ain’t one”? That’s exactly what we’re talking about today - how to sound more natural in English.Podpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): BUY ME A COFFEE - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Today, I want to talk about something I love but I don’t usually share here ... books. More specifically, the books I’ve been reading lately. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure to use lots of grammar in this too ... actually, I’ll be focusing on past continuous and past simple, because those two tenses are the backbone of storytelling. You’ll hear me use both and I’ll explain why at the end.Podpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): BUY ME A COFFEE - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Today’s episode is all about grammar. As you might remember, I have already done something similar for present perfect and past perfect as those are ones of the most problematic tenses. So today, we are continuing with this trend and we’re diving into the future continuous.Podpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): BUY ME A COFFEE - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Today’s topic is one that a lot of my students have been asking me about, and also something I’ve had to deal with myself lately. And the title says it all: "I don’t see any results… what now?"Does it sound familiar to you? 🧺Přijď na English Picnic (15.8.) - přihlaš se TADYPodpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): BUY ME A COFFEE - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Today, it will be a shorter and more personal episode, as I want to fill you in on all the things I have been working on and planning. Today I want to take you back to a really interesting time in American history. Because I love talking about my stories, but I love talking about American history even more! What period will we talk about? The 1920s! …which are often called The Roaring Twenties, and then we’ll talk about what happened next: the Wall Street crash in 1929, followed by the Great Depression in the 1930s. That period had a massive impact not just on the United States but also on the rest of the world. And yes, it also played a part in creating the conditions that led to the Second World War. So let’s just go for a little time-travel walk together.Podpoř mě tady: (If you want to financially support my work, now you can here): https://coff.ee/dagmartomaskova - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :)⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova) Hosted on Acast. Today, let’s go on a little nostalgic trip together.I want to tell you about summer camps ... both when I was a child, and later, when I became an instructor.Because, honestly? Camps were a big part of my life. I am just a camp child. And camp adult also. I loved camps. Today, I wanted to share something quite personal and current: my own experience of learning a language with the help of AI. Because yes, even as an English coach, I am also a language student myself. I’m learning French, and AI has become a surprisingly big part of my routine. So let’s look together at what I’ve found out… the good and the bad.If you want to financially support my work, now you can here: https://coff.ee/dagmartomaskova - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :) ⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today’s episode is especially for those of you who are preparing for the Cambridge exams like FCE or CAE.Because I am going to talk about common mistakes I see students make all the time. And trust me, I’ve seen a lot of them because I’ve helped so many students prepare over the years. Today we’ll go over them together, and I’ll try to explain why they matter and what you can do instead. Think of this as a little coaching session with me.If you want to financially support my work, now you can here: https://coff.ee/dagmartomaskova - but don't feel like you have to, it is just an option :) ⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today we’re talking about something that I think is secretly driving all English learners (and honestly, even native speakers) a little crazy. And that is... English expressions that appear in the vocabulary of the young generation out of nowhere and it takes a while to understand what they actually mean. The kind of phrases that, if you don’t know them, it is really hard to understand, why anyone would say them.⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. I flew to London. It was my third time going there, but you can take it as my little travel diary because I will tell you, briefly, what I did and saw in London. I am not a very descriptive person when it comes to trips. My mum always asks me - so tell me about London (or Barcelona or any other city I traveled to) and my answer is - yeah, it was great, you know, we did this and that and that’s about it. But here we go.⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today’s episode is going to be a mix of two things: grammar and regret. And if you’re thinking “ugh, grammar,”-don’t worry. I’m going to explain everything as simply as possible, like I’m explaining it to a five-year-old. And then, we’ll get into some real-life stories. Because yes, we all have regrets - I have many regrets and today I will share some of them with you. It is quite personal, so buckle up. ⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today, I have a special message for you. And I don’t say this lightly… Learning English is basically the same as going to the gym. Or eating healthy. Really, let me prove it to you.Why are these two things - fitness and language learning - basically twins? I was thinking about it, again, when I was listening to a fitness podcast and fitness coaching and how much of fitness coaching I can see in language teaching and coaching too. It is really interesting. I feel like when you make this connection, it really makes learning languages more tangible - tangible is that it is real, you can basically touch it, feel it, experience it - what I mean by that is that speaking a language is a skill, it is invisible, it is in our mind - the results are difficult to track if you don’t write a level test every other month. But with working out, you can see physical results in the real world after a while and maybe, if I give you this connection, it will help you visualize what learning a language looks like in our head. So imagine that learning a language is something like working out for our brain. Why? Let me explain…⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today, I want to talk about something that I think all of us have thought about at some point: Should I enjoy life right now… or should I wait and work for future happiness? This idea comes from a study I read — don’t worry, it’s not boring, I promise. And I’ll explain everything in simple English so even if your English isn’t perfect, you’ll still understand. This episode is also a great way to learn vocabulary connected to emotions, goals, and decisions.⭐Přepis a slovíčka: TADY⭐ Napiš mi zprávu, jak se ti to líbilo (můj instagram:) TADY (@dagmar–tomaskova)email: dajka.tomaskova@gmail.com Hosted on Acast.
